After playing since launch I just quit. I deleted the game and my account to prevent me from ever considering returning. My retirement should send chills down the spine of the Scopely leadership (it won't) not because of me specifically (I'm not that important) but because of what I represent.
I was basically a launch player. I was in a top alliance. I am fortunate to have economic means and so I spent a good amount of money on the game. I was a whale. I'm a fan of the Marvel IP. Most importantly, I have a predisposition to gambling and traits of an addictive personality type. I check every box that Scopely wants in the way they manipulate their player base, use FOMO tactics, etc to sell their characters.
None of this is news to me. I'm smart enough to know what was happening. I made an informed choice as a consumer about what to do with my discretionary income. And then one day I just...wasn't interested anymore. The game was boring and stale and even my abnormal psychology wasn't enough to keep me interested. I didn't buy Herecles and it felt...fine. I didn't login for a day and it felt....good. Then I quit.
I'm writing this as an encouragement to all those folks whose brain might work like mine but who haven't been lucky enough to have the resources to support the habit. You can quit. After a few days of "detox" I don't find myself thinking about server reset or how to get the milestone items in the convoluted messes they call events. You can go back to using your phone for what it's for, you know, important stuff like lurking about on Reddit and looking up porn! Good luck commanders!

Im planing to build new pc and will go bit higher end I wanted to buy one of 2 king x3d ones bcs of some comeptitive games i play on low settings but in europe those two cpus are crazy expensive 7800x3d is always out of stock and stil priced around 600 to 650 € and 9800x3d can reach even 800€ right now on amazon.de is 750€ My cpu budget would be 500€
I would pair that cpu with either 7900 xtx or 4080s And if 5080 is priced okayish prob 5080

If the driver did not take him, and I let him out by mistake without noticing I just want him found.
I live in an apartment in the avenues of downtown SLC. My cat was with me all day and then I left around 4 to go pick up my son.
I came back by 5 at the latest, by that time my package from UPS was delivered, I had forgotten to lock my door so I just find it strange my cat is gone when the only person I know going by my door is UPS
His name is Shadow He is a black cat and has a white spot on his chest Almost a year old
Things I’ll be doing today: Contacting UPS Checking other socials Checking his chip number And of course looking for him
He wasn’t wearing a color when I lost him

This should be a lesson to us all to never keep our eggs in one basket. These institutions don’t care about the issues we’ll face on a personal level because they only care to use our money for their own personal gains. When things like this occur, they’ll be insured to cover al of their losses. Us regular folk on the other hand have nobody to fight for us against the landlords/financial institutions that are expecting timely payments.
The future is dark if we don’t intentionally utilize the alternatives to these digital systems
