We often jump into things thinking that we shouldn't bother about the future, we should live in the present and enjoy it till it feels good, it's a good perspective too but another side of the coin is hurtful, full of pain. When the happy phase does end, we see the suffering if brings with it.
For example, we see ourselves falling for someone, we know we don't have a future together but we feel good being with that person, we enjoy the moment, we keep talking, we spend more time and the person keeps growing on us and we fall a bit too hard but then we part and it's when the pain starts to begin, we always knew this was meant to happen but now we experience it. The short term pleasure it gave us, makes us feel deprived of all of those same feelings and emotions and we feel starved, we feel weak and it hurts, your heart aches.
When you hook up with someone for that short lived pleasure, that high, that adventure, you just go for it, but a lot of people later feel guilty, if not that then emotionally empty, feeling like people need them for their body but not for who they are.
We also often crave for what we don't have and when we get it, the craving stops.
But if we talk about romantic relationships here, will you stop loving someone just because of the risks it brings? Or because it's going to end someday or because you know it'll hurt later? Maybe you shouldn't because yolo my dear, we don't have forever, maybe someday you just need to be ready to experience the pain if you want to taste the joy and peace that person brings for you.

- Titanium White: (255, 255, 255)
- Cadmium Yellow: (255, 223, 0)

2025.01.18 18:41 Electrical-Ride7073 Drawknife Etchings?
Picked up an 8"(?) straight drawknife at an antique store today, and started taking rust off looking for a makers mark. Nothing clear yet, but I think as I work in slowly with 1000grit and windex, I'm starting to see what looks like a pretty huge etching going all the way across, and at top center a fairly clear down arrow (like a long V with a small V under it). The letters look to be big block letters, in a banner arrangement, biggest letters far left near blade, arching up to top center before meeting the arrow).
Parts of the knife might be down to ~30% shiny metal, mostly 15/85 shiny to black patina.
Not looking for a positive ID or anything, but more discussion about how much to chase this. I feel like I could definitely be hallucinating, and could also be heading towards destroying the etch.
Any Tips or experience with etchings on Draw Knives?

I made some small changes via IL edit to a program I was reverse engineering and saved it via "File > Save Module". It crashed. I tried investigating the crash but couldn't find it: happened too deep in .NET code. After some fruitless troubleshooting, I started again by importing the original program into DnSpy, and going straight to "Save Module" without making any changes. I checked the diff in a hex editor and to my surprise, there's tons of changes.
Why is DnSpy adding changes I didn't make? Is this normal?

Recently have been reading on news about autowala who did not charge to drop Saif at hospital. People have been going gaga over how Mumbai is best for having auto and all so I am here to share a similar personal experience with auto in Indore. A decade ago my mom got a sudden heart attack at home and we hired an auto just outside our house and asked him to go to Bhandari hospital opposite Sayaji. I was the accompanying person with her. The auto guy helped me get her in auto, did best he could to reach and helped me getting her attention. Once hospital staff came to help he left without asking for a single rupee. A few days later I searched him at the nearby auto stand and tried to pay him for the ride and he refused to take it still.
I was half happy to see an auto guy getting recognition for his good deed but half sad because it is because he did it for saif Ali khan.

I have been on some calls where a customer claims that their equipment or thermostat is not working correctly, only to show up, test everything very thoroughly and find nothing wrong. I used to tell customers that I couldn't find anything wrong and usually that results in them getting upset or calling back at a later date because the "problem" still persists.
I have learned that it is way easier to pretty much make up a minor issue such as loose or burned wiring, dirty contactor, dirty blower motor, incorrect blower speed, or something minor that I can "fix" quickly for little to no charge. 90% of the time I never hear back from them about the issue. I even hear them happily explain to other people about how I fixed the issue for so cheap. I call these 'hearts and minds' calls.
Had one recently where an elderly customer said his gas furnace would sometimes fail to fire. Had a smart thermostat that his son installed (and the customer has no clue how to use) that told the blower to circulate for thirty minutes periodically. I figured it would be confusing to explain so I turned that setting off and told him his flame sensor was out of the path of the flame. He tipped me $20 and is thrilled every time he sees me.
Do you folks have any stories like this? I would love to hear them.

Bubbi's jungle if beautiful. I really love how overgrown it's looking but the substrate is flat and it feels wrong. I'm wanting to add some more substrate and make it look more like a hill and finally get in there a bundle up some of the plants. The problem is, Bubbi gets pretty stressed when I do anything more than a typical cleaning to his tank. He's mostly blind at this point because of diamond eyes, and I think that's made him get way more stressed over tank changes then he used to.
A few weeks ago I moved some plants into a new tank. The next day I noticed bubbi had started biting his anal fin. After the initial move, he hasn't touched it again and it's healing back up, but I don't want to out bubbi through too much stress again.
How can I make rescaping as stress free for him as possible? Or should I just leave his tank alone since he's mostly blind?

I’ve been getting into green tea recently and one thing I’ve noticed is the Chinese Green Tea I’ve had (Smith and Co) versus store bought Japanese green tea is a noticeable difference.
The Chinese green tea seems more mild and plain in terms of flavor and the Japanese tea seems more full bodied in terms of flavor and floral.
Does anyone else have this experience ? And what are your preferences?
