Anyone else dying of boredom and resorted to meeting random strangers on the internet as a twisted source of entertainment? Saaaame.
I'm just bored and looking for some stupid unhinged banter. Jumping into discord voice calls with random internet strangers is a newfound hobby of mine, so if that's something you're in the mood for then let's boogie. Do you wanna play video games together? We can argue about what to do next on our stardew valley farm, or argue about who's going to support bot and who's going to adc in league. Do you wanna watch a movie together? We can argue about if we're going to watch a wacky romcom or a dumb gory horror movie... (my love language is arguing, btw).
A little about myself: I spend too much time reading Wikipedia articles and forgetting everything I learned the next day, I enjoy weird humor and making other people laugh, and my favorite kind of exercise is an absurdly long walk. A huge passion of mine is old/obscure movies and music and I’m always on the hunt for more… so feel free to share your favorites or ask for any recommendations.
I'm hoping we can both just be ourselves and see what happens. I don’t really know what I’m expecting out of this and you shouldn’t either. I will warn you however, that I'm single and might try to flirt at some point :D

I made it to him and he isn't that much of a problem it's more of time really. First time I fought him I broke every part even the dragonator but I missed with and and another and I fail with 10 minutes left but I felt like I was doing good. The second time I died because I forgot honey to make more Megas and I for some reason broke everything but the dragonator. I know how to but it never broke off. And I was thinking on if I need to put on artillery skills so the dragonator and cannon can do more damage and is it worth it to get the demolisher ammo because I die really fast to both of them. And what does it mean when I hit the second phase of the fight how much health does he have. And what does it mean if he does the flying 2 times.

Hey,
Controlling Kodi with my tv remote usually works fine and as intended. But after my RPI has been on for a couple of hours, the remote stops working and I have to reboot the pi. After that everything is fine again. The thing is my pi is on 24/7 and used for other things as well, media server aso. And while it's not very hard to reboot it every evening when we want to watch things on Kodi, it's annoying. I know this might have more to do with the actual pi than Kodi, but I thought I'd start here.
Is there any way/command to reinitialise CEC capabilities without rebooting the pi?
The pi is set up to boot directly into Kodi, without a desktop. I've searched and searched but I haven't been able to find a solution for this.

After working 3 years for my company here in Munich, last week (Thursday) I joined a random meeting where HR was involved, and they provided me 2 options going forward and gave me a 5 working days deadline to decide;
1 - Leave my company - A mutual agreement where they would offer me a "bonus", which is summed up around 4,5 times my brutto salary, additionally they mentioned they would still pay me my regular salary for the upcoming 3 months (this is not present in the document sent to me though).
2 - I join PIP (Personal Improvement Plan) for the next 3 months, where they will measure my performance on a variety of things (some that make no sense and does not solely rely on me to provide the final outcome). By the end of PIP, I have the chance to appeal the decision or to leave, if I leave, they offer me an additional 1 month salary*
*In the offer they clearly state "If you choose to leave". ** If I decide to appeal and the new analysis also comes as unsuccessful, they once again state "you may choose to leave", which I would be entitle to 0,5 my monthly salary.
In the final part of the document, they state that if I decide to go for the option 2, my manager can (not must) provide coaching, assistance and support for me to achieve these goals, however the responsibility of improvement and delivering results solely relies on me.
***They also state that the PIP could be lengthened or shortened, depending on the assessment of my manager on a weekly basis.
What would be the best options here? Is there a government body for this that could offer me advice?
Side notes: 1 - In the middle of next month I would have vested stocks available, which after being sold correspond to around 3,5 netto salaries. All the other shares that would be vested in future, are lost. 2 - I still haven't taken any holidays for this year, wouldn't they be require to mention this in the document or even account this into the final offer?

We all understand that the quality of LLM output depends heavily on the context and prompt provided. For example, asking an LLM to generate a good blog article on a given topic (let's say X) might result in a generic answer that may or may not meet your expectations. However, if you provide guidelines on how to write a good article and supply the LLM with additional relevant information about the topic, you significantly increase the chances of receiving a response that aligns with your needs.
With this in mind, I wanted to create a workspace that makes it easy to build and manage context for use with LLMs. I imagine there are many of us who might use LLMs in workflows similar to the following:
Task: Let’s say you want to write an elevator pitch for your startup. Step 1: Research how to write a good elevator pitch, then save the key points as context. Step 2: Look up examples of effective elevator pitches and add these examples to your context. Step 3: Pass this curated context to the LLM and ask it to craft an elevator pitch for your startup. Importantly, you expect transparency—ensuring the LLM uses your provided context as intended and shows how it informed the output.
If you find workflows like this appealing, I think you’ll enjoy this tool. Here are its key features:

It integrates Tavily and Firecrawl to gather information on any topic from the internet.
You can highlight any important points, right-click, and save them as context.
You can pass this context to the LLM, which will use it to assist with your task. In its responses, the LLM will cite the relevant parts of the context so you can verify how your input was used and even trace it back to the original sources.

My hypothesis is that many of us would benefit from building strong context to complete our tasks. Of course, I could be wrong—perhaps this is just one of my idiosyncrasies, putting so much effort into creating detailed context! Who knows? The only way to find out is to post it here and see what the community thinks.

Like the title says, I’ve worked through my contract and might have an opportunity to work with the cath lab at my hospital. I’d be making my base pay. $3.75 an hour to be on call. Double my pay if called in. I have to take about 8-10 on call days. I’ll get a bi-weekly bonus of about $375 because of the on call requirement. 2.5 for holidays.
I think it’s a good opportunity but I also could be completely wrong. Is it worth it? The team seams nice enough and I’ve met the director. I do know I’m about to have to learn a whole bunch of stuff again. But that money could completely change things for my families life.
If possible I may do PRN on my unit in critical care, but I was told you have to keep up all accreditations. Which is fair, but for those of you that have done it or do it, what do you think? I do like my job and my coworkers and management, I just can’t be a critical care nurse full time anymore. My mental health is over it.
Posted again because last one was at two in the morning. Hopefully someone with advice sees it now 🤞
