I'm just starting into not drinking again, I've tried a few times in the past. The farthest I've made is maybe two months, but it was summer and just overall more enjoyable to go out into the world. I have two plans tonight, one is a game night at a friends and it isn't strictly drinking related, I'm sure there will be people not drinking. The one after is a karaoke night, drinking will definitely be the main attraction.
I'm sitting here feeling awful but I want to stay home. I don't think I would be comfortable at the second event, but I have social anxiety in general, which is one of the reasons I drink. I don't feel like putting myself in an anxious state, I really want to make this stick this time. People keep telling me I need to not be alone, because I work from home and live alone, so I do get lonely. But right now I'm just exhausted and doing anything social makes me want to drink just to get out the house. I put a lot of pressure on myself to "perform" because I do tend to make people laugh quite a lot. I went to my parents last night sober for the first time in a long time, and I was just a bit sedated like. Quiet, I didn't have much to talk about and didn't feel like forcing myself to be "on." And it was fine, but I feel like I need to be that way when I'm with my friends, and it's both birthday parties, I don't want to be a bummer. I bailed on one of the girls on New Years, which freaked a lot of people out, my parents included. But I just feel so damn tired. I want to lay around and watch TV and just focus on making it through this first month. Going on walks with my dog, slowly ramping back up into working out.
All in all, I've committed to both of these plans when I was in a better mood, and now I have less than an hour to get ready and get out the house and I haven't contacted anyone and I'm just stressing. Can anyone give me some advice? Should I be forcing myself to get out there?Am I making things worse for myself by secluding myself?

So Inthesaaand and I set out to tackle this ship (the Idris) after my last build post. I included an image of that ship and said I'd like to build it! I saw it and got hyped to start my build! It was cool because his build helped to inform me of some design discussions. After a long build journey full of ups and downs, I finally finished! Is it perfect? By no means, no. Some areas could be much better. I tried to be methodical about the build. I spent a lot of time working out a lot of aspects of it, trying to be efficient with this, but after two weeks of work, you hit a point where ya wanna finish it. (haha) There is room for improvement. For starters, there are no "Landing Gears" or "Thusters." (lol) I got so caught up in capturing the source material that those details became an afterthought, and I chose to revisit those areas later. I'll most likely repost with those updates. In any case, I hope you all enjoy the build!

For one they don't allow people to leave 15 minutes after it starts and 15 minutes before it ends. We have a 3 minute passing period which is 2 minutes shaved off of last year. And you wanna know something? They lock the GODDAMN BATHROOM DOORS DURING PASSING PERIOD. Go during lunch? Well it's strict af, people love to smoke and you can go one at a time. So no we really can't go during lunch and kids are forced to miss class.

While it's primary focused on changes with pistols I started thinking if the new "small guns" changes would also include shotguns. If it does i can see it being a huge buff just with the change to tank killer finally giving shotguns armor penetration along with all the buffs with onslaught stacks.

I [17M] and this girl [17F] have been friends for more than 3 years now, I will try to keep the background info as brief as I can but it was very special when we first met since I was sitting by myself at a lunch table at school and she decided to sit at my table and randomly started talking to me, and we became friends after that and we have kinda been in contact on and off.
To be honest, I have had a crush on her since the very beginning, I’m the type of person that only develops romantic interest in someone if they show interest back, and she was flirting with me a lot so I developed a big crush on her. Almost 2 years ago though, after we have been talking for a while (I usually only text her once every 2 weeks since I’m pretty socially awkward and don’t want to risk potentially annoying her with daily texts) I decided to confess that I had a crush on her, and her response was basically along the lines of “I’m not looking for a relationship right now but I will let you know when I am” and I basically told her that I respect her choice and asked if we could remain friends, to which she said yes. I was sad for sure, don’t get me wrong, but I somehow managed to move on quickly.
Well, I tried to move on, until soon after she started flirting with me a lot again. We had exchanged our Snapchat’s and she began to talk with me through there often, sometimes daily. She would send me kinda risque pictures of herself and would even sometimes send me pictures of her doing the “I love you” Sign language sign (she doesn’t do that nowadays but she still sends me pictures of herself). She would also begin telling me about what’s going on in her life a little bit, something she didn’t usually do when we text. (And I’m always the one who texts her first usually, by the way) I should also probably mention that she is homeschooled now so we haven’t seen each other in person in a long while.
This cycle would continue until she didn’t talk to me on Snapchat for several months, but we got in contact again a couple months ago and she is still being really flirty with me (And Snapchat says both of us has snapped each other the most a few months in a row out of any other friend we have, if that matters at all). And I honestly don’t know how to proceed, I’m really afraid of confessing to her again, so I don’t know if that’s an option. I do want to tell her that she is a really great friend and that I really appreciate having her as a friend since other than my romantic crush on her, I see her as an amazing friend that has helped me out a lot. But I don’t know if that would come across as me friendzoning her incase she has romantic feelings for me. I just feel really stuck here.

2025.01.18 23:10 SushiandSyrup Brain mapping/first treatment session follow up and questions
TLDR; had my first appointment, not painful but felt very strong and would lock/paralyze my jaw and face and my cheeks and eyes would flutter and twitch every 20 seconds when the pulses were going.
So I went in for brain mapping and my first treatment on Friday. The machine is the BrainsWay TMS machine. The tech found my motor threshold or area that made movement in my face and hands, on the first or second try which she said was pretty rare and was really happy with? Is this true and does it mean anything?
Once the cap was marked and a few test taps were completed we started my first treatment. From what I could hear though my ear plugs, they did 10 rounds at 80, 10 rounds at 85, and 35 rounds at 90. Is this a normal number to be starting around?
I went in expecting a little pain or uncomfortableness but instead it was just a weird and odd sensation that I had never felt before. Each shock, every 20 seconds, my face would twitch and feel paralyzed essentially during the few seconds it was tapping and my jaw would completely lock into place unable to move during the tapping as well. It wasn’t painful so to say, but just felt like a really odd and strong response for my body and face to be freezing up and twitching quite forcefully every 20 seconds. Like I said, didn’t hurt per se but felt so very odd…. Is that normal?? I’ve tried to find videos of people receiving the treatment online to see if their treatments gave them the same symptoms that mine felt like/did but I can’t find any, in all my research I don’t remember anyone mentioning this locked up severe twitching and immobility during each shock or pulses.
Next time I’m going to try to take a video to see what my face looks like, as maybe it’s in my head, but I think it’s hard to feel your face lock up, and eyes and cheeks twitch and flutter without that actually being what’s happening.

It's called the MB2, which occurs in molars. Molars can have either 3 roots, or also this additional 4th one. According to Wikipedia it's present in upper molars more than 50% of the time, and in first upper molars 76-96% of the time, and it's extremely difficult to see without magnification. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Root_canal_treatment

It also says that sometimes dentists perform root canals without even looking for / treating the MB2, which is often a cause a treatment failure.
This is pretty intriguing. Because at least in my country even many endodontists that I know of don't use microscope.
So do they just perform root canals with only being able to see and treat this canal 17% of the time, when it's so prevalent in upper molars? I'm presuming that many of those treatments fail? And maybe the 85% success rate figure for root canal treatment is more for specialists with microscope only?
Me personally I've had 5 root canals and 2 failed, got infected right after the first session. Both done by generalists without microscope.
The second was started recently, and it was a first upper molar. I'm debating whether I should find a specialist endodontist with microscope to continue it, or continue with the generalist. (read my last post for more info) Do I actually stand a good chance with the generalist? I'm no longer in pain after 12 days, and the pain only lasted 2 days (day 4-6) but that could be because the nerves have already all died (including the ones that they probably didn't clean up in the MB2 canal), but the infection is still probably there. How long is it safe to wait until getting it fixed?
