2025.01.19 10:30 Dry-Conversation9817 Why Does It all feel so different
 | I am a massive fan of RoboCop and the first movie is in my top ten favorite movies ever. But I'm probably one of the only people that prefer 3 over 2..(for the most part.) I have seen these movies over a hundred times each at least, And I just got done watching the first two back to back again yesterday.. Whilst I love parts of 2, I can't help feeling it's just so, so different in feel and tone to the first movie that it's just not the same guy that I just watched become Murphy again.. I wanted to ask Does anybody else feel the same way about it? Like, the way he talks is different somewhat slower and the suit seems to be different (not just in colour) but quality the whole look and feel of the performance is different.. he talks differently with his wordings, I can explain it, but i can't explain if that makes any sense š .. And don't get me wrong there's moments where it feels like the same RoboCop as before, id say from the electrocution scene onwards is great! Plus There's lots that I enjoy in the movie but I'm exclusively talking about the feel of RoboCop or even wellers performance here it's just not the same, to me it always feels like they cheapend the RoboCop character and dulled his personality to me.. lewis feels different too. It never really picks up from where the first movie left off. Also I'd like to add that yes I know verhoven left and it had new writers and a new director etc just in case anybody says all that. I also know what went on with the movie but I'm specifically talking about the feel and visual look of robocop just from looking at the pictures I have put on here you can probably see what I mean. 2025.01.19 10:30 IRBLT Buying a privately owned freehold house, but paying a social housing company a monthly payment?
Hey all,
Have recently purchased a house from a couple who privately own it etc etc. when we received their documentation theyāve informed us that they pay Ā£22 a month to a social housing company for ālandscaping maintenanceā. Only issue with this isā¦we donāt have any grass or greenery on the property? Well the garden does but thatās not accessible to the public.
Weāre slightly confused, this house has no relation to social housing or the council (it did once used to years and years ago) so we are confused why we are to pay Ā£22 a month to this company (Stonewater)
Weāve requested info on what they provide, and stonewater have said they will only share their documentation packets if we send them Ā£100 and set up the direct debit, which in itself seems very odd. Our biggest concern is if we are forced to pay this, are we demanded to pay even if they raise the price by excessive amounts at any point?

Context: my SO is learning eyebrow/lip embroidery on the side from a local institute and part of the curriculum requires work to be done actual human models after learning how to do it on fake "mannequins". I don't have other socials, so I am reaching out on reddit to try my luck with looking for models/volunteers.
I am looking for local volunteers/models for who are keen to do semi-permanent eyebrow, eyelid, lip embroidery.
Dates: 1a 22 Feb 2025, Saturday, 1pm (Choose either eyeliner or lip embroidery) 1b. 22 Feb 2025, Friday, 1pm (Choose either eyeliner or lip embroidery) 1c. 8 Mar 2025 Saturday 1pm (brows embroidery) For all dates, meeting time and location is 1pm at International Plaza, Singapore 079903 (Near Tanjong Pagar MRT)
Model preferences: - Preferably natural brows/eyes/lips or those with light tint as a base - Female models preferred - Completely FREE, no hidden charges. A refundable $50 deposit will be required to confirm your timeslot. It will be returned to you on the spot after the session is completed. - Please share a photo of the current condition of your brows/eyelids/lips for review before confirmation of appointment. - Whole process may take up to 3-4hours; SO is still a learner, so it may not be as fast as when done by a full time professional. - Experienced tutors are on site to provide guidance and supervision. - Photos of your brows/eyelids/lips will be taken both before and after the procedure has been completed. - Be okay with a follow up visit to check on the recovery process and color retention. - Your anonymity will be maintained.
Exclusion Criteria: Inflammation/sensitive skin, pregnant, menstruating, breastfeeding, unable to sit for 3-4hrs.

2025.01.19 10:30 Beef_Coop I (m24) feel betrayed after my ex (f26) started dating the person I was always worried about.
A few years ago, I (20M at the time) started dating my coworker (23F). She had just left an abusive relationship, thanks in part to encouragement from our coworkers and me. She clung to me, saying I was the first person she felt brave enough to leave her ex for. Despite seeing some red flags, like how she put me on a pedestal and struggled with her identity after years of trauma, I stayed because I thought I could help her heal.
Early on, I knew she had unresolved trauma, and I tried to be patient. However, she often tried to be someone she thought I wanted, rather than her true self. Which would later cause me to feel like I never knew her. I made mistakes too, like not always recognizing how deeply her past affected her. I also had unresolved trauma from my past and my previous relationship, which she often took personally and felt insecure.
Halfway through our relationship, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Around the same time, her ex passed away suddenly, which hit her hard. I tried to be there for her, but she shut down emotionally and couldn't be there for me during my illness. It was a tough time for both of us, and I started talking to an old friend (20F) for support, which complicated things further.
This friend, who would visit me during my late-night shifts, made flirty comments about stealing my girlfriend, which made me uncomfortable. I shared my concerns with my girlfriend, but she continued to befriend this person, saying she needed friends and struggled to make connections.
After my cancer surgery, our relationship grew more strained. My girlfriend started spending more time with this friend and their group, often without telling me where she was going or even leaving the state without a heads-up. This led to frequent arguments because I felt left out and worried about her safety.
Eventually, we broke up because she said she needed to find herself. During this time, she spent a lot of time with this friend. A few months later, we reconnected and even spent a night together for our "old anniversary," which seemed to rekindle her feelings. However, her overly strong emotions confused me, and I pulled away, which made her turn back to her friend.
As their friendship continued, and my ex witnessed her friend SA someone at a party. This incident deeply affected her, and they stopped talked for a few months. Instead of distancing herself permanently, they reconnected after a few months because she felt she needed somebody to talk to and couldn't open up to me. My ex kept this renewed friendship a secret from me because she knew it would upset me.
At some point, during a trip to see her mom, she also stayed with this friend, and they ended up kissing. I found out by accident when I saw messages and pictures on her phone. She downplayed it, saying it was just her exploring her sexuality and that it didn't mean anything.
Despite our efforts to make things work, our relationship never fully recovered. She broke up with me through a letter, explaining she still had unresolved feelings for her ex and never truly loved me the way I thought and loved her. She said she needed time alone to figure herself out but also mentioned sheād be hurt if I moved on quickly.
Now, months later, I discovered through social media that my ex and her friend are dating. This feels like a betrayal, as I voiced my concerns about their relationship throughout our time together, and I feel like my fears were justified.
I know I made mistakes in the relationship too, like not always handling my insecurities well and relying on others for emotional support. Despite our issues, I tried to be understanding and supportive, but seeing them together now feels like a punch to the gut and makes me sick. Any advice on how to process this or move forward? I know it's for the best, but I feel abandoned and like I wasted 3 years just for them to be together.

Hi everyone. Can't for the life of me get Macrodroid to disable my WIFI setting on the phone. Tried first to do it in airplane mode, sais cannot set when in airplane mode so I disabled airplane mode and tried again, and it just sais failed to set wifi state with no further explanation...
