2025.01.19 15:00 ArchBerry_Pi Ryzen 7 5800x3d on a cheap B450 motherboard
Hi, My current setup is a Ryzen 3 3100 paired with a MSI B450 PRO-VDH which was a $70 motherboard at the time I built my PC. It's really a basic motherboard which has no proper heatsink on its VRMs (image). I'm planning to upgrade to a 5800x3d as it has got really cheap in my region. But I'm unsure if the VRMs can handle a CPU of 105W TDP. I don't plan on overclocking but I'm concerned that my CPU will run at lower clock speeds due to VRM overheating. Will this be an issue? Let me know!

A few years back I found this walleye skull on the bank of a local lake. I tossed it in a container of corn starch (to keep it dry maybe? Don’t remember, not super familiar with skull preservation so just kinda winged it). The worse time it keeps, the more I like it--I've realized I don't actually need super-precise time in my life, and have become less time-neurotic as a result. Important for this post: it's old and has never been serviced; no idea how old. So a question, out of mechanical curiosity: every once in a while I've checked its accuracy, and there's no rhyme or reason: first it was losing 18s/day, then gaining 9 s/day, today seems almost perfectly on time. Everybody on this sub seems to talk about their watches like they're at least consistent, however accurate or not. My theory: maybe because it hasn't been serviced in a while, it keeps widely varying time depending on how fully wound the mainspring is, which varies a ton based on how much I move in a day, or how long it's sitting motionless at night. So (for instance) it slows down at night, and by end of day is running faster, or vice versa. That's a theory based on very little understanding. A few things for context
-In process of divorce (wife was arrested in April for domestic violence against myself and my mother) -she was not to have contact with me or my mother -she violated it twice the second time her case went from plea and pass to probation and no contact order still stood -Christmas time I took the kids to Maryland (sent her itinerary and she spoke to the kids multiple times a day. -she called the cops to my parents home in MD but in the process she called my mom twice. My mom didn't pick up (remember she's on the no contact order too) -I took my mom to wife's probation officer and signed an affidavit. Got a call from the DA. She said they're going to charge her from the FIRST time she violated it. • I have a girlfriend and soon to be ex wife has told the kids inappropriate things like my girlfriend is pregnant and maybe she'll get an abortion (kids are both under 9 years old) I want her to go to jail and I want to love to MD to have more support from my family and friends. QUESTION: Will I get full custody if she goes to jail? What are the chances that she'll be put into custody? This is the 3rd time she's violated the same no contact order! What challenges will I face? I want her in jail for at least 8 months so l can get the kids settled and have them reside after 6 months of living somewhere.
Ex is an abusive person. Beat the kids and I multiple t. and definitely has some kind of mental illness. CPS has been involved and son has said he is afraid of mom

Basically I have outgrown my 16 inferno Tacoma. With 3 kids and me being 6,1 it's just so cramped. I am thinking of getting a 20/21 tundra but I also drive a ton 15 miles each way to work 5 days a week.
I have a mild 2 in lift ott tune and 32s on my taco now and get about 15.7 avg. How much worse can the tundra realistically be.
Also to add the tundra will eventually be lifted on either 33/35s
I have no intention of going to the v6 twin turbo tundra as I am just so unsure on reliability. I am the og owner of my taco and plan to own the tundra at least 10 years
