For TLI fans and those that love a great investigative/horror mystery, check out The Gentleman from Hell.
I have thoroughly been enjoying the 11 episodes I have binged so far. Three investigators (2 former FBI agents and a clairvoyant) are hired to investigate what happened in the town of Cold Sparrow, in which the entire population of the town inexplicably went missing in 1999.
Their focus is to find out what happened to an eccentric billionaire (inherited wealth) during this time by searching for clues at his abandoned mansion.
The framing device is recordings and letters from the subject himself, detailing his experiences with odd dreams and encounters on the property, as well as his own research into the paranormal.
The first episode or two didn't grab me initially, as it relies heavily on the aforementioned tapes/letters to set the stage. However, once the team arrives at the mansion, it really takes off!
The writing is smart, and the characters are well acted and have good raport/exchanges with each other. The sound design is excellent and really sets the atmosphere of being in a haunted old estate as the teams' own encounters become more and more unhinged.
Haven't enjoyed an investigative/horror mystery this much since In Another Room.
Highly recommended!

I hope everyone is doing well.
I have seen the issue of people asking for Islamic advice on here especially on the matter of questioning the Deen. A few, unsolicited, points on this:
1) I don’t know if this subreddit is the best place to ask for Deen advice because a) considering the Reddit demographics, a lot of us are under 30 and still learning, b) you’ll attract a bunch of ex-Muslims whose lives revolve around hating on Islam despite supposedly leaving it. Perhaps they have something to reconcile within themselves.
2) I have realized the people who are asking questions on here are often of two:
a) people who have had horrible experiences with their families/relatives and who the Deen was weaponized against. Religious trauma is real. When the people who are supposed to love you abuse you and worse yet, use the Deen to misguidingly justify their heinous actions. I sympathize. I would recommend getting therapy and if you have questions on Islam seeking advice but separating anger (even justified hatred) towards family/relatives from the Deen. The Deen is not your experience nor is your experience the Deen. I say this with love and wish you the best. Wallah, I sympathize so much because I can understand why the Deen being used against you can cause questions and trauma.
2b) there are folks who have general questions about the Deen. Islam encourages questions, that’s how we got the Hadiths. The Sahabas would ask the Prophet (PBUH) questions and the answers came in the form of wa7yi. But I would once again, encourage people to think who they’re asking their questions to. Is there an imam you can speak to? Is there an Islamic academy online you can reach out to? What are the proper channels you can pursue before coming to a bunch of youth on Reddit (no offense, everyone)?
Wishing everyone the best. I want to emphasize for the young people here that there are literally people on here whose mission is to put you out of the folds of Islam so proceed with caution. Never base your beliefs and pursuits on what some randos (including me) say online. Reflect and seek the appropriate channels to ask your questions.

The game went from running at 60 FPS with a 5600X and a 3060 on mid settings to my computer crying for help running at medium.
The experimental optimizations help at times, but sometimes they don’t. This could be driver issues with NVidia and my GPU could be underperforming because of it.

I’m feeling super dejected here, I thought it was my phone playing up or the search function wouldn’t work until you paid for the subscription as can sometimes be the case only to join WW and see there’s actually no in person workshops in Northern Ireland at all. It used to be everywhere here, I was so excited to finally have in person support. I know WW offers so much through the app already and it’s fab but just feeling disappointed as I really need that in person circle or I know I’ll just give up.
