What if every race has 2 or 3 variations, with slightly different agents. And you don't have to reveal which one you have until you use their powers.
The idea is to bring surprise to the game. And because you could pick those agents after the universe is defined you couldn't adapt a little to your neighbours
For example, the embers could have a hero that produces 2 world suns in a supernova. Then until the last minute your enemies wouldn't know if you can destroy a system or creates those units. Or the Naalu could have a hero that force a user to pick a particular strategy card.

 | Old happy model crux3 2s I’ve been flying for years. Dropped in a new o4 air unit but I’m not very good at beta flight. So everything works flys and video from air unit is good but no info is being sent to the googles (osd) and if I turn on my old analog monitor the info gets sent to it. I know I need to hit some switches etc but pretty sure I’ll mess something up in beta flight without help. Basically I need to turn off the vtx on the fc and have the fc send info to the air unit then to googles. I’m guessing. I didn’t wire the sbus and the signal ground because I’m not using a dji fpv controller. We used to chat a lot about our lives and our feelings, had much in common, and were very close, but over the past year, they've stopped chatting. It's just me contacting them from time to time, and occasionally getting brief or generic responses in return.
Have any of you dealt with this?
Does it mean they're busy, or think I'm boring, or that they've found better friends?
(I'm a neurodivergent adult with learning and intellectual issues, and struggle to find friends who have similar interests to me.)

2025.01.20 03:01 AdAny7457 Why does my smoke alarm keep getting false alarms?
The times that the false alarms happen are completely random, it doesn't matter if I'm cooking, sleeping or in the shower. I live in an apartment connected to other units and whenever the false alarms happen, I also am hearing smoke alarms in other units in my building. It only lasts for one tone (about 3 seconds). My smoke alarm is an ionization alarm that is mounted and hard wired to the ceiling.
These alarms are a recurring nuisance for me and my pet. Every time it happens my muscles tense and my heart pounds for several minutes after because both the suddenness and loudness of it. They have happened at least twice a week since I have been living in my current home. Could this be caused by one of my neighbors smoking cigarettes, weed, or who-knows-what in their unit? Could it be a recurring short in the circuitry? If one of my neighbors is tampering with their alarm, is it making my alarm sound? Could someone possibly be harassing me by controlling the fire alarms somehow?
[Extra] Anyways, if I can DIY a solution then you have my thanks. DIY is what I prefer. I had past issues before where I just fixed the problems myself no problem. Like rearranging my cabinet shelves; had to unscrew and remove to cabinet doors to relevel shelves. There was also a time my toilet seat came loose and I was sliding everywhere when I sat on it; instead of immediately calling for a maintenance request, I just took a look and all that was needed was to tighten some wingnuts to fix that problem. Lol imagine being a maintenance worker with a big tool bag and entering a unit for a trouble call and it was just a wing nut to be tightened.

2025.01.20 03:01 jac5423 I sharpened an American knife allowing it to shave hair but it still is difficult to cut carrots, onions, and such with a constant angle
I recently sharpened a store bought knife because it was getting a bit dull. The knife can now shave hair and such but cutting still feels the same. Cutting fiberous things like celery and ginger is white though and when cutting onions, it just won’t cut straight down. I’m wondering whether that is due to my technique of sharpening or because the blade is just to thick causing more friction.

Ok, I know there are a bunch of "What welder should I get" posts out there, and yes, this is one. But in looking around, there seems to be an awful lot of pretty generic information that I haven't found super helpful, so here's my ask.
I've been welding off and on (mostly off, if I'm honest) for about 15 years, including formal welding classes but no certificate or degree, and so while I have a fair bit of experience and consider myself to be more experienced than the average hobbyist, I've never been in a position to actually buy my own until now. Like I said, I'm a hobbyist at the end of the day, but I'm looking at probably a MIG and TIG welder to be able to handle a range of situations. These are mainly going to be in the automotive space, so chromoly tubing for a kart chassis, aluminum and stainless tubing for intake and exhaust fabrication with the possibility of titanium, and some plate, either aluminum or chromoly, for suspension components and uprights. Later on down the line there's the possibility that I might make a trailer, and I want to build my own aircraft in the future, but I don't anticipate much of anything over about 1/4" in thickness. I do have 220v, but a dual voltage machine would be an advantage in case I need to take the machines on the road or something.
I've seen the Primeweld TIG 225 recommended for the TIG side, and I feel like that's the route I'll probably go. But especially when it comes to MIG there are more machines out there, from Yesweld, Eastwood, and Harbor Freight, and I see people recommend all of those and more. This isn't going to be my livelihood, so I don't need the top of the line Miller or Lincoln, but I do want something I can count on to last. Considering what's out there, it seems like about $1k for the TIG and maybe a little less for the MIG would be a reasonable range, and I will definitely be checking secondhand markets once I decide on a machine or machines to look for.
Also, if someone has a recommendation for a quality welding helmet, I would appreciate that, and since safety is a big priority for me I'm more than willing to spend $500-$1k if it provides me safety and comfort while welding.
