2025.01.20 12:00 Tracydeanne Yes, it’s so easy to miscount calories

I’ve been on my healthy journey for almost two years now - as of April 2025.
So I’ve been paying attention, counting, and tracking calories for quite some time. I would consider myself to be very knowledgeable about the subject. I’ve read, counted, weighed, and tracked for a long time.
I have a trail mix that I buy that I really enjoy, with dried fruit and nuts. It’s very good for you nutritionally, but obviously high in calories (the caloric content of nuts make me so sad). Way back when I started, I weighed and calculated that a certain dish I have of the trail mix is 250 calories, and that’s what I’ve always counted.
Yesterday, for whatever reason, I ate half the bag. And then went back and checked out the calories on the label. Yeah…the actual calorie content appears to be 3X what I thought all this time. Either I miscounted originally, the app I use is incorrect, or the bag weight is incorrect. Or all three? Unsure, but I think my takeaway is that it’s probably way more calories than I thought and I need to look at my portion size more closely.
It’s just that easy for calories to be miscounted, for anyone. Even when you think you know. :)

2025.01.20 12:00 Dramatic_Address_117 What's the ethical thing to do if you cannot afford your horses treatment?

This is mostly a hypothetical question. I'm also just getting a realistic view point on what to do if my boy turns out to have issues I can't afford.
In the case that a horse is relatively young and has potential, is it better to put them to sleep, rehome them for free to a place that would be willing to afford them, retire (Likely wouldn't be possible in my case) or another route I haven't thought of? I've heard of people rehoming older or retired horses and losing track of them or the horses meeting unfortunate circumstances. Apologies if this is an insensitive or inappropriate topic. I can take it down.

I watched the whole thing, I don't particularly mind the rushed quality, or any of the other complaints I've seen, since it's a fluffy guilty pleasure show, but what's up with the stuttery scene transitions? I noticed it watching episode 5 and 7, when Kitty and Min Ho are traveling to her great Aunt's house, and during the cherry blossom ball, but definitely it was happening at other points.

Problem/goal: nag break kami ng ex January 2, 2025 happy new year diba? Haha. Anyways, we still chatting pa din pero di naman palagi. Then nung friday she asked if puwede mag call, ako naman sige lang. Nagkamustahan about sa mga nangyari samin after breakup, natanong ako if she started dating na, nabanggit nga niya yes, ako naman i keep pushing through na di ko alam masasaktan pala ko. I asked if something happened sa kanila nung ka date niya, she said yes, nag momol daw sila. That time na narinig ko ouch tagos na tagos hahaha. Ayaw niya na din naman mag bigay ng details masasaktan lang daw ako. And it cuts deeper. So after namin mag usap, I decided to unfriend/unfollow siya sa ig and facebook. Pero kahapon nag chat ulit siya and she admit na sobrang guilty daw siya sa mga ginawa niya sakin, nagtanong siya if mahal ko pa ba siya? If kamahal mahal pa din ba siya? She cried at lot after niya ma realize lahat na siya ang may problema kaya siya nakipag break. She broke up with me kasi may hinahanap daw siya na sa tingin niya di ko daw kaya ibigay sa kanya. Before ng breakup may pinagdadaanan din siya sobrang ubos na ubos daw siya that time, kaya nakipag break siya sakin.
Sa ngayon tinatry ko na mag move on, sobrang lala ng pag overthink ko ngayon na hindi na din ako makapag focus sa ibang bagay. Any advice paano ko ba malalagpasan to?

TL;DR: Remove picking up Grimoires/Scriptures as weekly contract, and have them become a mission modifier instead.
At the start of a mission with this modifier, a random member of the team is selected and the Grimoire is put in their inventory, and now it's no longer possible to destroy it. It's mechanically similar as before, but since it's now only possible to have one of these, the corruption effect should be scaled up a bit. Should the carrier die, the cursed tome selects at random the next victim who has to carry it, so someone is always carrying the tome. If the new carrier already has a ammo or health pack in their inventory, it (the pack) drops on the ground.
But, it's now possible to find Scriptures on these missions, and they counteract the effects of the Grimoire, but you'll need all three to fully halter the corruption effect. These however are placed in random locations on the map as before, meaning that the team has to search for them. But now it becomes a question of how much time the team can and should spend on looking for these, because spending too much time would negate the benefit of getting them.
That's basically it. And with this design, there could be other Grimoires with other effects, this one would them be The Grimoire of Corruption, or perhaps Decay.
