Anyone else dealing with heightened anxiety or panic attacks lately. My gf had a mini panic attack on Saturday, then I have been feeling shaky and anxious ridden since Sunday night, no sleep called outta work. My mom also got a panic state yesterday. I know techniques to calm myself, but these were intense. I was just typing to vent and see if anyone can relate to being more on edge lately.

This was originally a comment on a related post but I figured it could be more helpful as its own post. We are quickly approaching a fascist dictatorship and going forward, planning and organizing is key. Not everyone's got the means for all of this but here are some things that could be done
- Community: If you have some sort of community that you're a part of, get with them and make a joint plan
- Community Garden: provides food for members, enables community collaboration and involvement, and allows you to get outside and touch grass
- Move: move to a blue state or near one of the borders in case you need to flea the country. Higher education is also much cheaper in other countries, making student visas a way out of here
- Documents: secure physical copies of documents and identification, like diplomas, passports, certifications, etc. This'll be helpful especially if you do end up leaving
- Information: secure important information on hard drives and physical copies. This information can include survival books, revolutionary and historical literature, banned books, and a copy of project 2025. Having a copy of that will allow you to know what we're up against
- Mental Health: it's about to get scary as shit, so there's no better time to be taking time for yourself and prioritizing your peace and mental health
- Fitness: ensure that you're physically strong and able bodied
- Armed Defense: secure the means to defend yourself. Learn armed and unarmed self-defense
- First Aid: learn first aid in case you need to treat yourself or others in the event of an emergency
- DIY HRT: If you're trans and on hrt, secure your own supply of hormones and ensure that it's no longer on your record that you're actively trans. TransDIY has a lot of helpful resources
- Vaccines: ensure that you're fully vaccinated for different viruses and infections while vaccines are still available

2025.01.20 19:04 PvtDroopy [Nordic Marine Instruments] Rookie Review: NMI Sovaern Kulsort
First off, I have owned a bunch of Timex watches but decided to start to up my game. I really dig the look of this watch, but I'm not shelling out that kind of money for it. Someone on here pointed me towards the NMI Sovaern Kulsort, which for me fit the bill.
The Good:
- Slick looking watch
- Feels "premium" if that makes sense
- It has a really cool mechanism for quickly adjusting the strap length. If you depress the button that says TRYK, you can make micro adjustments without having to mess with the link pins.
- It's $600, which makes it quite approachable for most. This could also be considered bad with respect to the points below.
- Throughout the course of the day one of the band pins works its way undone and starts to come out. No matter how much I tighten it, it's the same story.
- The return policy is trash. NMI does not stand behind their product at all. If you have an issue with the watch, or if it simply doesn't work out, you have to ship it back to Singapore on your dime, and it has to be in unused condition. If they determine it has been used then you just lost out on the watch and your $600.
- It loses about 5-15 minutes of time per day. So, as a watch it's not terribly great at its job. This is at best annoying.
It's a slick looking watch but the quality just isn't there. If I had spent $100 on it I would be disappointed in the quality, but for six times that I'm a little fired up. Between losing WAY too much time per day, the pin perpetually loosening, and the high-risk return policy, I cannot recommend this company. All of that said, YMMV.
