I hate my job at Mcdonald’s. I’ve been working here for almost two years, and it was fine at first, we were properly staffed, and I enjoyed the company of my fellow coworkers. However; 90% of everyone who I worked with within the first year of working quit. We are now short staffed everyday, if one person calls off, one singular person, we have a ghost crew. I’m miserable everyday I have to work, and I’m down to only being scheduled two days a week as opposed to my 5 sometimes 6 when I started because I keep calling off every shift because of how miserable I am. Customers and coworkers are disrespectful and entitled, my managers are lazy and make me do the job of three. I’ve tried everywhere, I call and they tell me they’re either not hiring, or to check back in a week, or I can’t get a hold of anyone.
I’m nearly broke and I may have to dip into my savings just to feed myself. I can’t quit because if I do I will have no way to support myself.
I genuinely want to die. I know it sounds like an exaggeration but I’m sure this community understands. The only thing keeping me going is to work to buy my boyfriend and my cat food.

I’m reviewing the backlog of episodes I missed (I’m a late joiner and am still catching up) and just finished Scott and Matt’s review of the first story in Hearts in Atlantis. For my own curiosity I’m trying to listen to the books King explicitly mentions in his works. One of these books is Ring Around the Sun by Clifford D Simak. Even though I’ve barely started it’s clear this is where King gets the idea of Jake’s infamous quote of “other worlds than this”. I’m just wondering if anyone else has read this or listened to the audiobook and if they might have any thoughts I should consider while listening.

2025.01.20 17:50 Brilliant-Ad-1644 Jeep JK Flashing MIL, engine stuttering, burning smell. intermittent problem. 5 min later starts fine. Code P0128 (low coolant temp).
This has happened like 3 or 4 times now. Usually happens after a cold start. Will be driving for one minute and then the engine starts hesitating, flashing mil, and burning smell. Turn off, pull a P0128 code with cheap scanner. Turn on 5 minutes later and runs perfectly. About 1.5k ago had the famous oil cooler leak and had that replaced along with the coils and spark plugs. The first couple times this happened, it didn't throw a code. My research pointed to a possibly bad Camshaft Pos Sensor so I bought a new one but haven't replaced it yet. I am wondering if the P0128 code (low coolant temp) is unrelated to the to stuttering symptom. Any Ideas? I am having a mechanic coming over tomorrow. Thank you! 2018 Jeep JK unlimited about 90k miles.

 | Hi guys! So i already submit 2 application (I-485 Adjustment of Status & I-131 Travel permit) on Dec 24,2024. I got noa 1 (I-797 receipt notice) on Dec 28,2024 for both of them. And then, on Jan 4,2025 i got biometric appointment notice for I-485. But when i check the status for my I-131 , it says "issue with payment" (photo attached). On the other hand, my husband already check the bank statements , it was showed for the payment both of application. Any advice?? Or maybe having some experience like that? *Please note\* I’m in my mid-20s and have completely forgotten how to draw. I used to draw as a child but was never properly taught. Although I participated in an art summer camp and took some art classes in high school, I never viewed myself as an artist because my skills were basic and my teachers encouraged us to figure things out on our own. Additionally, pursuing a degree in art can be very costly, and I've heard that online art programs can be ineffective. Unfortunately, I lack the funds to find courses online. I aspire to create realistic art and paintings, but I understand it may take time to achieve that. Everything I mentioned in the title reflects my desire to learn, as I feel out of touch with what I’m doing.

I have money in a couple of liquidity funds with low-risk investments (treasury bonds), one in my local currency and one in USD (because in my country a lot of commodities are in USD). I keep track of both in YNAB using Tracking accounts in different budgets (one local and one USD), but the problem is the same.
My intention for them:
- Do not loose values in my savings
- Use for emergencies (they are available in less than 72hs if I want them back)
- Use for planned expenses that I will make in less than a year (travel, family plans, etc)
Do you think is a good idea to have them in a budget account?
I am thinking for example that seeing my "emergency fund" category filled will help me focus on other thinks. Now I try to assign money to it, while my tracking account has almost what I consider an emergency fund, and when I roll with the punches, I end up cleaning that category, and maybe I should have being smart when assigning those bills.

I successfully passed the NBCOT on my second try, but now after studying for months, i feel so far removed from the profession. A little context, I took the NBCOT a few months after i graduated and did not pass. Crushed by the results, I spent the next several months devoting my days to studying for the next exam. Between the first and second exams i experienced a herniated disc w/ sciatica and had several flare ups where i was put out of commission. Between studying for the NBCOT and my herniated disc, i was unable to work in the meantime. Now that I have passed and started looking for work, i feel removed, uncompetitive and embarrassed of my weak resume. Although i remember my time at my fieldworks, it was quite some time ago. Prior to initially studying for the exam, i worked at a Physical therapy as a PT rehab tech, but that was also some time ago by now. I am feeling lost and could use some input and guidance. Should I look towards certifications to make myself more competitive? Look to shadow a friend who has been an OT? Are there any support/workshops/seminars that can be found through AOTA for newly certified OT's looking to take the next steps? Should i just cast my net, hope to get a hired and establish a peer mentor? What would you do if you were in my situation? i am looking forward to taking the next steps in my life
TLDR: Just passed NBCOT, have a weak resume history, looking to make my self more confident, competent and a competitive job candidate. looking for advice/ support on how to proceed post NBCOT.

I know this is not the first time something like this has occurred but are these people that make the timetable seriously stupid?? like how could they keep all those mixed languages like that and two similar subjects together with not even 1 day gap. I seriously got pissed when people are calling it unfair to have 1 or 2 days gap between exams like we wish that could be us. Home Science exam is on 3rd April and Psychology is literally the next day. Both the subjects are heavy, there's a lot of chapters to cover and after Home Science there's literally just few hours to cover all the Psychology chapters and appear for boards. Are we supposed to not sleep?? How are we gonna cover the portions?? I'm seriously frustrated. They could've kept unrelated subjects next to each other, like who has Commerce/Math related subjects (except Marketing) along with Humanities related subjects? They could've kept a Math related subject between the two or something.
