I had an old KME sharpener I sold. I felt I could never get the same angle. On long blades it was tough.
Main issue I thought was the inconsistency how the blade was clamped. If the blade isn’t clamped at the same spot on the blade every time, won’t the effect the angle?
I want a new sharpener and wondering if my assumption with guide rod styles is correct.

I did a test search in my local area and was curious to see what each agent would offer. Some agents went down to 2% while most were 3%. I've heard that they charge monthly fees and a referral at closing. For those of you who use upnest, is it still worth it and have you "discounted" your commission?

I'm looking to do a Winter Skills course in Scotland next month and want a decent set of gloves. Does anyone have any experience with the Mountain Equipment Mountain gloves? I have seen their Guide gloves recommended a lot, but it seems they have been superseded by the Mountain glove?
Would also take any other recommendations.

Hi there- looking for some words of encouragement or thought exercises that help with your catastrophic thinking pre-colonoscopy.
Still undiagnosed but most likely have UC. Have been dealing with mucus, frequent BMs, blood and had an elevated Calprotectin and positive FIT test so going for my first colonoscopy tomorrow.
Feeling quite nervous about what I may learn, and having a hard time not spiraling. Rationally I know this is a good thing that I am finally getting my symptoms checked out, but feeling anxious about the results. Any suggestions, or tips are welcome. Thanks in advance :)

Well look, I’ll leave it at this text and screenshot to pretend it’ll bring some cathartic finality. I know this is all strange but we texted over 20,000 times so what's one more? I don’t fully buy that justification but I also mostly figure I’m talking to myself right now anyway (if a boy cries alone in the dark, does he still make a sound?), and it feels important to share even while knowing I shifted whatever emotional resonance we once had to different frequencies.
I had forgotten about you, Liv. And when I looked back, I almost couldn’t believe how naturally and consistently you brought out the side of me that I like best in myself. You spoke my language.
I’m not all that critical of myself for being immature and anxious and burning that bridge before we crossed it, and it helps to know how easily things could've just not worked in person, but I couldn't stop myself from reaching out when I recognized how clearly you showed me the type of connection I’m looking for out of life.

Someone hit my boyfriend’s parked car and damaged the bumper (or bumper cover?). I don’t think it’s actually dent d just deeply scraped off a lot of paint. He called the service center and they quoted him let’s say the equivalent of 4,000 usd (we live in Korea and the currency isn’t 1:1) and the person’s insurance says they’ll only cover 1800 which seems a bit crazy. I assume that would be the cost of a new bumper but even that seems a bit over inflated. There is no functional damage and he’s driving the car fine.
We live outside of the states and these cars are considered relatively premium so a lot of general auto shops won’t touch them which means they can charge more for repairs but this seems a bit much.
Does anyone with more experience think this is cosmetically fixable or would a full replacement be necessary? And if so does 4,000 usd sound right for that? If this is this overinflated we’re tempted to take it around the US military base town and look for a shop there.

 | Hi everyone! This is my first post and first full restoration project and could use some expert advice. I picked up a Bleecker Street Haversack satchel from Mercari planning to continue where the previous owner left off. Here’s what I know from the posting: -The damage is water spots -She did all the suede cleaning, brushing and erasers, etc. and cleaned the inside thoroughly (the inside is gorgeous) -She used red suede dye to help conceal the water spots and included the rest of the bottle. Thinking I might go a little darker, I bought the Angelus dark red suede dye + the light rose leather dye for all the trim. Now that I’ve had a chance to inspect, use my own suede erasers and Angelus suede cleaner, etc. I feel pretty confident that the stains are there to stay. Here are my questions: 1) If the stains are actually mold, is it safe to use after all this cleaning (+ it’s in the sun right now)? 2) Is the dark red dye going to do enough to conceal the stains or would I be better off to do a dark chocolate color to match the brown Coach used for this bag (see last photo)? I love that color but I can’t decide if changing it that much is bad Coach karma or not ;-) I bought some wristlets in the same pink suede to test with but curious what everyone’s experience is. 3) Is there anything I can do to reshape the strap? There’s a funny bend in the middle where it sits on the shoulder. Still plenty functional but would love to improve it if possible. 4) Can the spots on the brass hardware be polished away with Brasso or does it look like permanent water damage? 5) Anything else I should try? New here and I’m a fairly new gamer like just the last 5 years, but I’m pretty into it and my husband has been forever. I have a PS5, Nintendo switch, Xbox series x, and a steam deck.
I’m in need of cozy games I have all the big name Nintendo games but I would really love some suggestions on the other systems!
Specifically the PS5 and Steamdeck I don’t play the Xbox as much but if there were a good enough game I would. I also have the PlayStation+ and Xbox game pass if that helps!
