2025.01.21 00:49 papajohnzbb Gearscore needs a rework
All in all the gear score did not throw me off too much when the change was made to lobbies. Back when this game was first running these separated lobbies weren’t a thing, but as this game continues I understand why these changes would come about.
With that being said, if you are trying to keep normal lobbies limited by gearscore the gear score needs to be reworked. 6 out of the last 10 runs I’ve done in these normal lobbies has ended with me dying to a barb running at me with a legendary weapon and a couple purple clothing with movement speed rolls.
I get that these things can come about with min maxing and what not, but I believe gear scores for items should be reworked for this kind of environment that they are trying to build.

I am mostly a n00b, having won once and played 4~ games at his point + my current match
In my current galaxy there was basically two federations and a single empire they subjected everyone else.
One of my federation friendos broke off and we ended up effectively eliminating the other major federation, so we’re basically at:
40% of the galaxy is a small empire and it’s larger subjects
20% of the galaxy is me
15% of the galaxy is some new empire that randomly took over an empire that was in the enemy federation once they got rekt
15% of the galaxy is my former ally who
10% is random small empires spread around
In terms of fleet power im at like 400k but the other two major powers are each in the millions with dozens of 100k fleets each. I tried to catch up but I don’t have the economy to support it. I only have a small cap of star bases and a small fleet cap I’m already like 4x over
I am overwhelming on everything compared to everyone but the other two big players who are both overwhelming or superior on everything to me. They’ve just started a war on each other and I suspect the one is going to steam roll the other. I was considering joining in once their fleets are rekt
I am a Xenophile empire so I can’t just make a death device to sneakily win.
Any hope of eventually catching up? Will they eventually hit a brick wall either in force size or tech that I might reach too if I play long enough or will they consistently stay ahead absent some major unexpected event?

Hi all. I’m trying to remember the name of an old cd rom game I used to play in the mid 2000s. It was a dress up a game and I remember there being a lot of platform shoes and tube tops lol. But you could dress up the girls and then make a music video, tv show, fashion show etc. You were able to design the set and put in multiple characters, furniture, and pick the music played.
