 | Well fight may be a bit exaggerated but she certainly seemed to think she was doing a great job defending her territory. I took her out for a late night potty break. I live in the middle of nowhere so right outside the yard is the forest. As soon as we step outside we hear something moving around outside the fence. It's just out of sight from the porch light so I can't make out exactly what it is but Pinkie starts running toward it, barking like she's a hell hound ready to tear shit up. I'm not too concerned, we are in a fenced yard after all. Until this animal starts running faster and it's getting louder and seems to be heading in our direction. Then I start freaking out because Pinkie refuses to come inside, she's ready to take this thing on. The only way I can get her inside is to offer treats. She's a stickler for food. It works, she runs inside, I shut and lock the door, and we're safe. Were we ever in any danger? Probably not. But I just think it's so funny that this 8 lb dog is ready to take on whatever beast comes her way. Oh and cherry on top? 2025.01.21 05:02 Miaismyname2424 Where do I got from here?
Hello all, I recently graduated with a degree in English and I hated the job prospects I would get with this degree. I decided to go back to community college and take some classes and I'm really enjoying my biology class, especially the intro organic chemistry unit we're doing right now. Chemistry, especially orgo, is incredibly fascinating and I find myself almost eager to get the opportunity to study every day which I was not with English.
However, from doing some research, biochemistry is not really that great of an undergrad degree, in fact, no science degree besides engineering seems to be worth the time. I'm thinking I might try to do a 4+1 masters program at my local in biochemistry to give myself a leg up and if I do really well I think I'll try to apply for medical school.
However, I've ALSO heard that a masters isn't really worth the time without work experience, so I'm pretty confused. Call it analysis paralysis. There seems to be a ton of options in this field but none really lead to a well paying job unless you get a PhD or go to med school. Am I correct in this assessment?

So I just took a shower about 10 mins ago but I am still washing my hair because I think it is “contaminated”. It first started with me eating something in my kitchen then a piece a food crumb dropped right next to the trash can. So as I was about to pick it up my mind thought my hair touched the trash can. I freaked out and went straight to my bathroom and started washing my hair over the sink. I use old spice shampoo and if you use it too much it will give you a skin rash and makes your skin feel dry. The first time I washed it over the sink I thought my hair was touching the drain. So I washed it again. Then I washed it the second time because my “dirty hand” touched my hair and I washed it the third time because my hair touched part of the sink. Honestly I am thinking about washing it for the fourth time. So right now my hair feels dry and my forehead has a red rash. I am just disappointed with myself because with my last update I thought I was getting better with my contamination OCD.
