2025.01.22 00:14 Emrad16 What personality and motivations did you give the Arcane Brotherhood?
Hi all,
I’m getting ready to run Rime and I’m curious about how people have made use of the Arcane Brotherhood? They seem really fascinating to me since they’re very key to the plot of the campaign, but as written they feel under-utilised to me.
In particular I’d love to know what kind of motivations and personalities you gave the individual members? Obviously the book says they are there for Ythryn but “power for the sake of it” feels a little bland to me in terms of motivation.
Outside of that, did you do anything different with how the campaign utilises the characters? I’m thinking of making Vellynne (and maybe Avarice) a much more active part of the campaign so I’d love to hear how you used them in yours.
PS - A big thank you to all the people who’ve contributed to resources in this community. Everything in this group has been a massive help.

Since a lot of us haven’t lived in the colder climates I’d thought I’d let y’all know a little something. If you have to go to anywhere in the morning and you’re in a hurry microwave some water for about five minutes and throw it on your windshield so you don’t have to wait on it to defrost. If you have time boiling water works best.

This game is great I like it and i’ve played through every ending except all the “joke” ones but people always say “you will cry” but I just didn’t, the only videogame thats ever made me cry was lego city undercover. I just feel like the games overrated and i’m enjoying replicant way more. Did I just go into this game close minded I wish I could be the majority that could call this game a masterpiece but I just can’t.

I loved you when I didn’t even know what that was, I loved you in a naive faulty Way, and I was just so cruel and cold. All you did was love me like no one else had, and in your arms I felt warmth that I had never felt before. I realized what home was and it was there. It caught me so off guard, everything, your stare, your laugh, our friendship, our love. For the first time in my life I knew what it was to be loved to have someone for me, I had a best friend and a lover in the most beautiful person I had ever met. I ruined it all slowly but unfortunately very painfully, with jabs at your ego, with rage, with violence of the worst kind. I was a monster, and I hope I find the heart to forgive myself too. I ruined the best thing that I feel had happened to me. Even through the months and the years, I don’t think you’ll ever go away from my head or even my heart, I hope you’re right and I can think back and say how silly I was for holding on to you, but you were everything I ever wanted, and in fear of losing you, I ruined it all worst than I could have ever. Can they fire you for calling off sick? I had to leave early today and I decided to call off for tomorrow because my illness has progressed into a fever. I’m working in pet care tomorrow I believe and I don’t want to make them ill. Nor do I want to make my fellow employees ill. I personally believe in giving it your 100% when you work and I cannot do that if I’m sick.
However I’m really worried because I called my manager and she seemed annoyed and she already doesn’t like me I think.
