I'm thinking about applying for a STEM major, but most of my extracurriculars and awards and such are more humanities-focused. I have competitive grades and courses in both STEM and humanities, but my main extracurricular is the independent student newspaper, which I founded and run, as well as work at the local newspaper, performance in school plays, a few minor writing awards, as well as winning some regional debate competitions and running the school literary magazine and debate club. I have some science awards from my high school, which I doubt count for much, and I participated in the National Science Bowl, but didn't perform particularly well. How badly does this hurt my chances of getting into competitive colleges? This isn't my application cycle, so I still have time to do more STEM stuff, but I'm just not sure.

My wife (f24) and I (m35) have been married for almost 4 years and she just absolutely blew it. I’m a skier and I know everything there is to know about skiing so trust me when I say I have the ultimate 32 ski quiver. I’m not one of those Jerry’s with 3 or 4 skis. As a test of our relationship I always ask her to buy me a new pair of skis for Christmas, I’ll ski them a few times to humor her, and then I’ll sell them in the spring. As I said I have the ultimate quiver and her opinion on my ski bears little to no weight, I just want to make sure she has a half decent taste in skis. Well this year she did the unthinkable. She bought me bent chetler 90s. I can’t believe she would do this. Everyone knows bent chetler skis are filthy, low level, simple minded, children’s skis so it broke my heart when my wife stabbed me in the back. AITAH if I divorce her?

Hello. I am about 3 weeks out from D-Day. My boyfriend had been cheating on me for almost an entire year with an "ex" that he had gotten back together with. They were long distance so it was easier for him to hide.
It's all still fresh but he seems to be completely open and honest now and doing everything right. He answers all my questions, even the ones that hurt. Now I'm at the point where I am just feeling a million different emotions at once. I feel worthless and disposable. I have been cheated on before so going into this relationship I was always suspicious but he reassured me that he would never cheat.
I can't stop thinking about the other girl. I picture them together and all the things they did. I remember all the lies he told me to cover it up. I'm so angry and I can't get more than 5 minutes without a devastating thought popping into my head. Despite all of this I still love him and I want to try to reconcile. To me he is a human being who made a massive mistake. I just don't know how to feel better. We've talked about every detail over and over and over. I've cried to him, been angry at him, comforted him. I don't know. I feel so lost and hurt and I keep getting the urge to message the other girl and tell her to fuck off to hell. But I know its not her fault.
We haven't even been together for that long and hes spent the majority of our relationship cheating on me. But I am a very loyal and committed person. I've already mentally decided he is my person through thick and thin. Maybe I'm just being stupid.
When does it get easier? What can we do to build back trust? Sorry for the rambling, its hard to get my thoughts in order.

I enabled (I think) the melon DS standalone which according to the wiki has optional BIOS requirement? Do I still need DS BIOS and/or Pokemon white and black 2 BIOS?

Hey everyone! I recently shared some advice on picking the best United credit card and thought I'd share my advice for United loyal but relatively infrequent flyers (e.g., my parents) who want to get the most ROI from United cards and don't fly enough to justify an expensive Club card.
United has a bunch of Chase co-branded credit cards, but many don’t realize the lower-tier personal and business cards give you a lot of the same perks as United Silver status for a fraction of the cost. Things like:
- Free checked bags
- Priority boarding
- Access to extra economy saver award space
Want to get the maximum benefit? Here’s my recommended strategy:
Year 1: Start with the Chase United Explorer Card
- This card has a solid sign-up bonus, which gets you a bunch of miles right away.
- You’ll enjoy all the perks above for a reasonable annual fee ($95, usually waived in the first year).
Open the United Business Card when your Explorer card’s second annual fee hits.
- You earn another solid sign-up bonus for even more miles.
- The United Business Card offers the same perks as the Explorer card, plus more:
- You’ll get $100 back if you make 7 United purchases of $100+ each year (and yes, United TravelBank credits count).
- You also get 5,000 bonus miles every year if you also have a personal United card.
- The Gateway Card gives basically zero perks but keeps you eligible for that 5,000-mile bonus every year. It has a $0 fee, just sock drawer it.
- 5,000 miles per year (valued at ~$50 minimum)
- $100 travel credit per year if you hit the 7 purchase threshold
- Two United Club passes per year
- All the perks like free checked bags, priority boarding, and expanded award availability
- Open the United Explorer card → switch to the United Business Card after Year 1 → downgrade Explorer to Gateway.
