I used to play psx games without any problem in my TV but a visual bug appeared out of nowhere and I'm unable to play.
-The bug: Image display scrolls down and back up again in an infinite loop (same as this guy: https://www.reddit.com/ps2/comments/1acsr7q/ps2_ps1_game_visual_issues/ ).
I don't know why this is happening since I didn't changed anything (same TV, same cables, same console).

2025.01.22 01:15 angelicshadowdemon Anyone know where I can find 3d models of the figurines themselves?
Recently got a bunch of figurines and was thinking of customising the duplicates. As this would be my first time ever attempting something like this, I had the idea of creating "colouring pages" of the models I wanted to customise so I could experiment with colour and design without wasting paints. I had the idea of using blender as that's apparently a feature, but first I'd need the 3d models of the figurines themselves (and to delete parts to match the broken ones).
I've had a look online and found one or two that would work but most of the versions I find are ingame models which would need to be posed like their physical counterparts (and might not even be able to do that without clipping issues), plus there are a couple I couldn't find at all.
So does anyone know of anywhere I could find and download these models? Or would I be better off just taking photos and tracing them in GIMP?

I've been going through the process of getting my clearance for a gov job. I'm done all of the steps and just waiting on the response back but with the hiring freeze will my CJO be rescinded now?
I had to reach out to my current employer as part of the clearance process and tell them I was looking at a different position.
Idont currently have a gov job, so I'm not sure how this works and I really hope I'm not just booted out after going through this process for such a loooooong time lol

Anaxa being imaginary makes more sense unfortunately (I say this with a rock on my heart, to transliterate a saying from my native language), him being the Su expy, the tree, those things mean it makes sense if he's imaginary. Meanwhile Mydei, who canonically hits enemies with red shards is imaginary????? Make it make sense. Anaxa's being imaginary wouldn't be nearly as egregious if mydei weren't one too. Like there is no justification for an imaginary mydei when his frucking animations have the red rocks in them. Like be ffr hyv.
As for the erudition part, idek know what to say. They literally released jiaoqiu and fugue within the same update cycle, following Rappa up with anaxa wouldn't be the first time. I fucking hate it omfg why do they DO this. Meanwhile combinations like wind erudition and ice nihility/hunt are in the trenches. The only 5/* ice units we have other than Therta are gepard and yanqing, who were released when the game launched!!!!!! Meanwhile sampo and black swan are the closest things to wind erudition we've got. I just don't understand the thought process behind releasing characters of the same path and element so close to each other.
What are the people who pulled for Rappa supposed to do if anaxa is also imaginary erudition? Sure he'll probably have a slightly different kit (the LEAST hyv can do) but it's so damn stupid like if a Rappa haver likes anaxa and is f2p now they have two limited units of the same element and path in a game that releases new characters ever patch and the powercreep is so insane. Like okay, someone like me who's been playing since launch at least has older units like Jing yuan and Kafka so the 273727 reruns at once isn't such a problem for me but for newer players they need more characters esp DPSes from different elements and paths (those ignoring/implanting weakness aside). It's all just so stupid.
Anyway at the very least mydei shouldn't have been imaginary

2025.01.22 01:15 ianism3 Yet Another Motorstorm Trilogy DLC & Online Post (Hopefully a Comprehensive One This Time)
I have managed to get (used) disc copies of all 3 PS3 games (have never played any of them before other than an emulated PSP version of Arctic Edge, which I quite liked, and is why I'm here at all!)
so this is kind of both a guide and a help! post because I've done this kind of shit before, but also don't know wtf is going on because I've literally never played these games. so I'm basically writing out the steps and have been editing the content of this post as I've gone.
First off, I'm not interested in new cars or liveries, just events and tracks. I'm also interested in playing online because I'd like the trophies, but am not bothered if it's complicated/will corrupt my save file/etc.
Buying DLC
the DLC for all 3 games is available in the PSN Online store on PS3 (at least it is in the US and Canada). the catch is that you:
a) need to add funds to your playstation store wallet manually from another device. (I happened to already have a bunch because I got a few discounted gift cards from someone who didn't want them on facebook marketplace of all places.)
b) need to disconnect your card/Paypal account from your Sony account. otherwise when buying stuff (even if it's free) you'll get a message saying "Your last sign in was on a different console. Please verify your card." and when you fill in the card details it will say they are incorrect, even if they aren't.
Updates & DLC
Motorstorm 1 (Monument Valley): you need to update it to be able to use the DLC. I've managed to connect to the third-party servers and have downloaded the update. if that doesn't work for you, I've managed to find a reddit comment with the update (for both US and EU versions of the game) and from which you can try to install the update manually.
I've downloaded the packs and they have installed no problem! Great!
can someone tell me how to access Time Attack mode in this game so I can try the Double Track Pack without finding an online game?
Note: console crashed when I tried to get into the Devil's Weekend menus the first time, but it worked the second time. (PHEW!) Maybe I should clean out my console? it seems to be running slower than it used to (I lent it to someone for a year and just got it back yesterday).
Pacific Rift: was able to install update 1.03 (I assume this was the last?) upon starting the game and was good to go once I buy the Adrenaline & Speed DLC.
accessing the Speed Weekend content required communication with the server, and the connection of course failed. I was given the option of trying to connect again, and when I selected "No" it gave me the EULA screen from the PSOne people who set up the online stuff, and then I was in.
I got the connection failed popup several times while in the Speed Weekend menu for some reason though, which was not great. would be annoying during races. selecting Yes or No made no difference: it just went away only to return ~60 seconds later.
Apocalypse: also was able install update 1.06 (the last) no problem
I downloaded the five free event packs: Red Joker, Gold Joker, Queen of Hearts, King of Diamonds, & Ace of Spades, but I can't seem to access them in-game through the downloadable content section in Wreckreation.
I am not sure where to look though to be honest hahaha... haven't even done a race yet (in any of these games!). Is it possible they're just no longer accessible?
also for Apocalypse: it says it includes the Premier Pack on the cover. I know this was standard on the US version of the game and it comes with 2 of the above event packs and 2 vehicles, but was that on-disc? my copy is second hand so there does not appear to be any code inside the box.
Online
MS 1/MV: once I got connected to the third-party servers, I got online no problem. it was empty though. yes, I know I'll need to make a discord account at some point.
Pacific Rift: was able to get into the online MP portion of the menu, but joining ranked or casual matches disconnected me. apparently only custom matches are possible.
Apocalypse: was not able to connect at all. seem to be a work in progress atm, see below.
Aight, I'm gonna stop here because I don't actually have the time to test the games out myself and I have been installing the games, downloading updates, figuring out what DLC to buy, researching how all this shit is done, and of course writing and editing this post for... *checks browser history* 5 hours?!?! Holy sweet baby buddha no wonder I'm hungry
