I think I just need reassurance that I’m doing the right thing, since my anxiety is getting the better of me. After dealing with slow replies from the HR associate for the past 2.5 weeks with the company I’m applying at, I finally have a 2nd interview scheduled for tomorrow at 9am. I’m debating if I should call out, or try to take the call while I’m working from home. Tbh I haven’t called out once in the one year I’ve worked here, which makes me feel both entitled to ask for a day off, and nervous to bc it will look suspicious as I never ask for time off without it being preplanned.
When speaking with the HR person I asked for any time after 1pm as I could take the call during my lunch hour, but they were unable to accommodate, and we finally settled on tomorrow morning, but this was at 5:30pm, and it was too late to request a half day at my current job. And as most of my work is time sensitive and needs to be completed between 8am and 12pm, I’m concerned about being able to mentally prep for the call, and to either slip away unnoticed or make an excuse to leave for a moment during my busy time of the day.
I also don’t know if this will be my final interview, or if they could possibly call me in for an in person interview, or another virtual one after this. I recently had to take a few half days to have some legitimate dental work done, so I can’t use that as an excuse again, and I feel like asking for more time off now will start to look suspicious. How do I stop feeling so guilty about this?

Hey, everyone. I quit my job back in 2021, and have been doing a little freelance work since then. I earned more than £1000 in 2022/23, so registered for self assessment with HMRC and completed an SA return accordingly.
In 2023/24, I earned less than £1000, so when my SA return was due, I submitted it, selecting the option for "earned less than £1000". I did that (online) on 1st January 2025, and got confirmation that it had been received.
However, on the 9th January, I received a letter from HMRC saying that they have now deregistered me from SA, and that if I need to submit another return for 2024/25, I'll need to register again.
I don't understand - I didn't ask to deregister. I'm still self employed, I just earned less than £1000 that tax year. I've already exceeded that for 2024/25, and so I'm definitely going to be submitting a return.
I don't know if this is a mistake, or if there's some policy where HMRC will automatically deregister you if you submit a zero return. I've seen elsewhere online that if you earn less than £1000, you don't need to submit a return.
Would appreciate clarity on this, if anyone knows. I tried to get through to HMRC on webchat a few times, but each time, no one has been available.

Hey! My son made a Wraith Lupe and I came up with a minecraft themed name Ender---- (the color and eyes reminded me of the enderman lol) but now Im trying to think of any petpets that could be minecraft-ish to match the Minecraft theme. It doesnt have to color match the wraith lupe, just something that reminds you/him of something in minecraft. Like a tnt cube would be cool but as far as I know theres no petpets resembling that. And Im coming up blank but I also have never played minecraft so my only knowledge is what Ive learned listening to my kiddo lol. Only thing I came up with on my own is an elderly rock, which looks like a diamond since you mine for diamonds but Im not crazy about that combo.

Problem: I made the mistake of adding a Venturi ozone injector bypass valve before the cartridge filter (instead of after). This causes ozone gas to build up in the filter housing, displacing what should be entirely water, causing the filter to not function properly (since only 30% is submerged in water). Due to space and PVC fitting issues, I can't easily replumb it.
Questions: what determines the percent of the space in the filter housing displaced by aiozone? Is it the strength of the pump pushing water through, the height of the filter housing, the amount of ozone/air being injected into the Venturi.
Can this be fixed by adding some sort of pipe or compartment above the filter housing to collect the ozone and allow water to fully fill the filter housing? I'd love to understand the physics of what determines this ratio.

I don't know if it ever worked before, but, I just can't seem to figure out what is wrong here.
It seems to work on my other MacBook but not this one.
Any troubleshooting tips? Perhaps it's a permissions issue? I can't get RustDesk to let me edit any of the settings that require "Unlocking" either.
