I am running over ten different apps that are utilizing Horizon queues quite heavily. I have been scratching my head for a while with this issue and cannot seem to find a solution. I am using Guzzle to send out HTTP requests to external APIs and I have several cases where the name resolution / DNS lookups start to fail after the Horizon queue has been running for a long time. We are talking days or weeks so the issue is hard to replicate. After you restart the queue, everything is working fine again.
I have ruled out actual DNS issues since once the queue goes to this state, the name resolution on the server is working just fine. I can also run the requests from tinker just fine.
Scheduling a periodic Horizon restart would be one solution but I would like to get bottom of this. Has anyone has this kind of issue?

How about supercell does something to change these stupid metas so that more than 3/4 of the card roster isn't being left to rot away unused

So I have been clinically practicing for about 11 years with mixed experience in hospital medicine and critical care in an academic hospital. I've worked nights almost exclusively, which is taking its toll with overall burnout and job dissatisfaction. I have enjoyed helping educating new hires and students, therefore considered switching to academia. I feel the day hours and decresed clinical stress would do wonders for me. My alma mater has a faculty position open. My only concern is I have no formal education/teaching experience. Anyone have advice to get started? I was debating asking to guest lecture vs just going for the position.

I’d also excel in some sections (like ethics on my first attempt) but perform poorly in others. This inconsistency was frustrating and exhausting.
After receiving a waiver to retake the test just one month later (instead of the standard three-month wait), I decided I couldn’t give up. I reevaluated my strategies and adopted new tools and techniques that made a huge difference. Here’s what I learned:

I've been selling online for nearly 15 years. It's not just a little hobby, it's my business. I've been on Ebay the longest, then Poshmark, and most recently joined Mercari last year. I've interacted with thousands of buyers over the years, but never had this situation...
A lady messaged me on Mercari asking how many of one of my items I had, to which I replied hundreds. She asked for a price for 100 of them, I replied. I guess she thought it was a fantastic deal and asked for a price for 200 of them, plus some other items. After some back and forth and more questions, I'm starting to feel uneasy about the situation. It feels kind of sketchy. And with the many horror stories I've read about on Mercari, it was making me nervous with such a high dollar sale. I decided it wasn't worth the hassle it was becoming dealing with this person and promptly blocked her on Mercari, per advice from a Mercari sellers group.
She found me on Poshmark and messaged me there. I blocked.
She looked through the recent feedback that was left on Mercari and messaged those buyers asking them to message me for her. Wtf this is getting weird.
She found me on Ebay. She made a small purchase. No messages on Ebay prior or with the order. New account. I know it's her because of name and location (I had previously asked what state the order would ship to)
I would really rather not even send the order, but cancelling would just hurt my stats. If I try to block, I'm sure she'll just create a new account. If she leaves negative feedback in regards to her experiences on the other platforms, will Ebay remove it?
This has become nerve-wracking and I'm not sure how to handle it. I've dealt with various things over the years but nothing quite like this! Is there anything I can do?

So I (F29) have been crushing on a coworker (M35). We’ve known each other for a few months, and while things started off pretty normal and professional, we’ve gotten more comfortable lately, but nothing overtly flirty. He’s laid-back, kind, and friendly, so I can’t tell if it’s just his personality or if there might be something more.
What’s got me wondering is something that happened after an office event. After the event, we ended up alone at a train station at midnight. I told him I had to wait for my connecting train, and his apartment is nearby. Instead of saying a quick goodbye and heading home, he stayed with me for nearly an hour, just standing outside the station and chatting. He didn’t seem in a rush to leave, even though it was 12:30AM, in winter, and he had to go to the office the next morning. He offered to order me a pricey cab home when we realized I had missed the last train home (of course I “pretended to lost track of time”), because I joked that it was his fault that I missed it, though then I said I could figure it out myself.
However, since then, he hasn’t really brought it up again and he hasn’t done anything significant (though he’s still warm and friendly), and I’ve been playing it cool (too cool for my own good perhaps). Now I’m stuck wondering: Was he consciously or unconsciously sending a subtle signal there, or was that just a polite, nice guy behavior? I’m a very shy person who somehow never has the courage to start things first, hence the overthinking…
