last time the fire alarm unexpectedly went off he was absolutely terrified, and it took a day to coax him out from between my shower curtains. i have some advance warning this time, so i want to do what i can to make this less scary for him. i have the day off work, but i don't have a car -- i was thinking of maybe taking him over to a friend's place, but it's a long, cold walk, and she has other pets that he's never met. my other idea was to shut him in the walk-in closet where his litter box and food/water are, and try to wrap his carrier in blankets so it's a little bit soundproofed? i don't know how well that would work, but it would have the bonus of associating the carrier with being safe from scary sounds, so he might be more likely to hide there during an actual fire, making it easier to evacuate.
suggestions would be appreciated, i feel so bad when he's scared like that and i want to avoid it as much as i can!

Hello Razer community! I got this keyboard as a gift some time ago and since my old keyboard just broke I tried to set up this one. I’ve got Razer Synapse installed and as good as it works for all the other buttons Num number 8 seems like it doesn’t care and I can’t set it’s RGB to sync with the others. In synapse I’ve reset my profile and it still does this.

Got an email from Starling "Here’s how 2025 could look..." saying: It’s far easier to manage with everything in one place...
I find this quite annoying as they are not letting me manage everything in one place, as before, as you now have to have a separate bank or use an Easy Saver if you want interest. As a new joiner just before this change I still haven't got over this yet :-( .

 | hey guys have an i5 9500t system running windows 11 with jellyfin, having issues of sort of buffering at auto network speed when playing back a blueray (full mkv) it was also using all 6 cores heavily, dropped to 20mbs and it just crashed. turns out it was not using gpu weirdly. got it setup correctly, starts using igpu to transcode, cpu usage goes way down, but set it to auto, gpu usage goes to almost nothing and cpu gets hammered again, also saw network adapter spiking. how can i make best use of hardware and have no "buffering" issues? playback is on og google android tv chromecast as well as m3 macbook air, more so on chromecast. submitted by oldmatebob123 to JellyfinCommunity [link] [comments] |
