Hi guys, I really need help with my results for thesis, as supervisor isn’t helping much… We did corrs and partial corrs were done to test a theoretical model of mediation (this was the supervisors suggestion). In my model, it is assumed that there’s a partial mediation: negativa path between X and M, then a positive path between M and Y. And in the total effect, a X and Y negative path is expected.
Generally, my results are: 1. No significant corr between X and M 2. No significant corr between M and Y 3. Significant pos corr between X and Y 4. Significant neg partial corr between X and M 5. Significant pos partial corr between M and Y 6. Significant pos partial corr between X and Y
Please help, is this partial support for the mediation model, as pathways of partial corrs X and M, and M and Y were found in the expected valence ? And how can I explain the results with zero-order being insignificant but partial corrs significant 😭😭😭 Please help I would be eternally grateful

So like the title says it I cant find an accurate app that counts my steps and estimates how many calories I burned by walking.
Im using an iphone and its build in app said that I burned around 1k calories yesterday by walking 2.5 hours w 5.5km/h pace, around 18-19k steps (Im 5’4 140lbs). It doesnt make sense cause it was way too high when I compare it with the other days. So I downloaded another app (stepsapp) and it says that I burned 750. I asked chatgpt with all the information above and it says that I probably burned 680. Im confused. Any recommendations?
