I (25F) work hybrid, splitting my time between office and WFH. Today was supposed to be a casual WFH day with just one important meeting - presenting my ideas for our company website redesign to my direct manager and his boss (both men in their late 40s).
For context, I've been working on this presentation for weeks. It's a big deal because the website redesign could be my first major project lead. I had everything prepared - my slides were perfect, my talking points were solid, and I was feeling confident.
The meeting started smoothly. I was sharing my screen, walking them through the UX improvements I'd planned, when disaster struck. You see, I have this FWB situation going on, and he picked THE WORST possible moment to get horny.
Right in the middle of explaining our potential ROI metrics, my phone started pushing notifications to my screen. And of course, because the universe hates me, my FWB decided to send not just one, but a whole series of increasingly explicit messages: "I'm so horny today" "Can't stop thinking about last night" "Need you so bad" And more kept coming.
I swear time stopped. My face went from normal to tomato red in 0.2 seconds. My hands were shaking so bad I could barely click the "Stop Share" button. There was this excruciating 10-second silence that felt like an eternity. I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me whole.
When I finally managed to resume sharing my screen (after frantically turning off ALL notifications), I tried to continue as if nothing happened. But let's be real - we all saw it. My manager cleared his throat awkwardly, and his boss suddenly became very interested in his coffee mug.
The meeting somehow limped to an end, but not before I noticed my boss typing something on his phone with a slight smirk. Great, I'm probably going to be the subject of an executive group chat joke.
To make it even better, I checked my astrology app called starrybook right after (yes, I'm one of those people), and it had warned me to "be cautious in professional settings today." Thanks for the heads up, I guess?
The cherry on top? I have to go into the office tomorrow for our weekly in-person team meeting. I'm already cringing thinking about making eye contact with either of them.
TL;DR: Forgot to turn off notifications during a work presentation, ended up showing my bosses some very NSFW messages from my FWB. Now I have to face them tomorrow and pretend this never happened.
Edit: RIP my inbox. Yes, I've already turned off all notifications. Yes, I'm updating my WFH presentation protocol. And no, I haven't responded to my FWB's messages yet - I'm too busy planning my new life in a remote cave somewhere.

The matrix/simulation we seem to be experiencing only exists in our collective minds. We don't necessarily create "reality", but we decode it into existence. It's basically an induced dream, which is a dream that is intentionally brought about. The Gnostics wrote thousands of years ago that the world is a simulation that was created by a distorted state of consciousness that they called 'Yaldabaoth' which is basically the same as satan in Christianity. This is why the world is so insane, it's designed to be that way by the architect of the simulation.
The important thing to understand though is that without your consciousness (its not really yours), there can be no dream/simulation. Consciousness (or awareness) is who you truly are, and to be in alignment with this consciousness, its important to meditate. Meditation is simply sitting and observing the thoughts that come and go in your mind.
In other words, meditation is sitting and doing nothing. And as you do this, the thoughts begin slowing down, and there'll start being gaps between your thoughts. In that space where there are no thoughts and you are completely silent, you get a glimpse of your true nature, which is beyond the simulation. The more you sit and do nothing, the more space you have between your thoughts, and the more free you become from the matrix.

Hey everyone. I found an exceptional studio apartment ridiculously much cheaper in Munich during an upcoming reservation.
The property link has apparently been taken down by booking.com
In pictures and host description this property required prior contact via WhatsApp. Asked link with my price, name and email, so far so good. Then upon confirmation I was given a soxalled private link for my final booking confirmation. The link stated: https://booking-com.s3893898.world/220974114
I clicked it and it stated my so far entered dates asked again for name and email and in the final step it required me to enter credit card details, which I obviously didn’t do.
So contacted booking who was more than unhelpful asking standard questions. I had given them all info and chat screens.
So the WhatsApp girl managing the bookings and mobile on property page are UK based.
The operator still claims all is legitimate and keeps being friendly which is not usual for a scam so…. What is this? Still SCAM?
