I have been having intense thoughts and urges about unaliving myself, I live right next to a road and was tempted last night before I called the ambulance
my religious household triggered my mental health after suffering with possibly undiagnosed pure ocd alongside diagnosed adhd and depression , I now feel like there is a demon taking control of me and I feel like I am losing control of my body, I am seriously worried I will harm others
I feel like there is something touching me constantly, I can’t tell this to my family as they don’t understand mental health or are unsupportive
I went to the a&e last night and waited 3-4 hours to speak to a mental health nurse but I am struggling with my memory and couldn’t work out what she said but then I was told to stay to be reviewed again but I was extremely tired and I couldn’t wait for another 5 hours
I feel like I need immediate support but I don’t know how to get that

A couple weeks ago my heat went out for about a day and the house got a bit cold (around 40°F for a few hours) before getting the heat back on. Since then my mattress topper has felt a bit uncomfortable, much firmer than before. Am I crazy or can the cold mess with these toppers?
As a side note, what is the general sentiment on mattress toppers? Is getting a new topper a good idea if my mattress is not comfortable or should I think about getting a new mattress?

I recently met a woman at work who’s far right it was so much fun and whenever we get chance to meet we talk for hours on variety of topics. Shes from northern part of India and a little older than me otherwise i would have definitely asked her out or even marry her. Thats when I realized how good it left to finally meet someone with similar ideologies. Never met a tamil girl with similar ideology everyone i meet are ill informed and not interested in politics at all. Does this rare species of right wing tamil woman even exist !

Hi, I’m a second year mech eng student. I’m taking this semester off because I felt I was getting close to burnout after final season. So I’m taking this time to think about if I really want to study mechanical engineering, I really like math and want to dive more into it like probabilities and statistics (calculus being the only math in engineering). I have good grades in general (3.5+)but really don’t know if I would be able to do proof based courses like analysis I and II. In terms of career, I’m not sure what you can do after having a math major (I thought of quant finance?) and I assume that mechanical engineering would open more doors (but I don’t really see myself doing engineer work, I don’t build stuff). I am a bit stuck between what I think I would like to study and love (math) and what I should study like mech eng (maybe it’s worth grinding a few more years and getting that degree ?) I’m open to any advice, thanks !
