2025.01.22 15:52 EvilRobotSteve Instant Toxin Death: what can I do?
I'm a Volt & Gauss main so I'm a shield gate enjoyer. I like that there's something in the game that works as a hard counter to it, so this isn't me moaning about toxin in general.
However, what does feel a little cheap about it is that it feels like I have no way of even defending or reacting in a way to counter it. I just get touched once and I'm dead no questions asked.
This wasn't a huge issue before, because toxin enemies are pretty infrequent, but this isn't the case with the 1999 tileset. There's loads of them, and because there's so much visual noise from the Jade Eximus, I can't even see the toxin enemies with a slightly different shade of green from all the rest of the green. This is especially noticable as I'm currently trying to kill 300 Techrot with a melee weapon and my screen is pretty much always filled with green.
I'm not saying they need to change the game, I'm asking what I can do to tweak my build to give me a fighting chance. I only have the R1 Resistance arcane, but from what I hear even R5 doesn't make a difference with oneshots.

I know Trintellix can increase histamine production. When i first started taking it i was sneezing and had short coughing fits and a runny nose. I'm 3 months on it now and I still get the runny nose and i sometimes smell chalk when i know there is no chalk in the house because my sister is allergic.
Is smelling something that isnt there due to the histamine increase normal? Also is it normal for me to still be effected by this side effect 3 months in?

What is the point in getting the best CB you can, the fastest wingers etc... If you can just put together a team of 95 OVR, and it performs better... Better heading, passing, finishing, goalkeeping. Is there anything that I am missing, or should I just use 77 OVR for my CB and strikers, and they will perform the same in H2H?!?

i already have the standard 40lbs per panel on the roof (at least that's what the installer said, i havent lifted them to verify).
my 2nd floor deck (approx 13x12 feet) gets a lot of sunlight, would be nice if i get some panels there to provide shades. i definitely dont want something heavy to burden the deck if i dont have to. believe it or not, there was a hot tub but that's been removed.

Hi all, I in just found this subreddit, hoping folks have some tips or advice for my 10mth old son's BLW journey. He's been eating solids for about two months now (he was eating mostly purees before that) but he absolutely refuses to touch the food himself. He almost has a look of disgust on his face, but thankfully he does at least take solid food spoon-fed, or if I give it to him the food to bite (e.g. muffins). I know this isn't the best but I'm taking my small wins,l where he has at least moved past the only purees stage. He also does take a few things in his hands such as baby rusks and puffs (dry soluble cracker textures). My question is, what can I do to get him to touch his own food (and eventually get him to feed himself)? I tend to give him a few minutes to play with the food but it's been entirely unfruitful. I also have to balance between letting him play with the food and actually getting calories in him because he is still underweight for his age (born IUGR preemie) so I often do resort to just giving up and spoon-feeding him. Does anyone have any tips on what I could do to get him to actually touch his food? I literally left him a bowl with food and all he did was gesture his mouth towards the bowl instead of touching it himself lol. The struggle is real!

I, (32F) am hitting the seven year itch with my company, which is in tech and construction, two areas I have no real passion or interest in long-term. However my company has been very good to me, and over the last several years I have been promoted internally several times, and had excellent luck with my managers, repeatedly finding positions that allowed me to self-manage, identify, and define the requirements of temporary or newly created positions, going from an over-qualified office coordinator role to someone in program management, product ownership, and business process management.
However, since I've been promoted internally with these massive job title changes I am now, even with pay raises and increases, several thousand dollars under market value for my current job title in my city and level of experience, so I'm looking to make a move to the non-profit sector to find work that's more meaningful to me in the long-run.
I put the decision to even start looking off for a long time, even when I knew I was not happy at my current position, because I dreaded job hunting outside of the company. Within my company I have developed a reputation as a go-to-guy, a jack-of-all-trades, and someone who at least knows someone if not the answer you're looking for, and I value that about myself. When I apply for a position internally my name and people willing to lobby for me are usually enough to get me through the door easily. However, I interview awfully.
My resume and decade of experience can get me an interview anywhere now, and I tried another job or two, hoping seven years off the open market would make a difference. It made it worse. And after sitting for a while to dissect what had just gone so catastrophically wrong that I got a pity call back for a job I was overqualified for within a two days, here's what I came up with:
I have accepted that I am a lot more autistic than I thought I was. This has shown up in a couple other places in my life, but perhaps none so devastatingly impactful as job interviewing. I knew I was neurodivergent. I have been treated for ADHD for years, and have a lot of friends with both ADHD and Autism, but after doing some more research after this interview, (specifically finding and resonating heavily with PDA which has a lot of overlapping symptoms with ADHD) I'm realizing that I'm in a negative feedback loop with my interviewing questions.
Some 'are you autistic' guides I have seen recently have said things like: "Remember, all questions on autism and ADHD exams are written by people who are not autistic, and you should always tend towards the maximum possible answer, so if you see a question like 'Do you have a Problem with Socks' and your answer is 'No, Because I Have a System', then your answer should be 'Yes'." In similar veins, I've seen excellent interviewing guides for autistic people for how to answer the basic interviewing questions (Tell me about yourself, tell me about a weakness, when you failed, etc) but my problems are much more in those gray areas:
"Would you rather go to a party or stay at home?" - Well, what kind of party? Who is throwing it? Do I know anyone there? How am I feeling that day? What would I be doing if I stayed home?
I have the social skills and awareness to understand that not every question can be answered with 'It Depends" or "I need more information" but I absolutely freeze and overthink when I get thrown these questions in an interview. The breaking point for me in the most recent interview was:
"Could you explain 'Business Process Management'?"- For a business process management position. I had no idea what they wanted to hear. Did they want a one-sentence summary that sounded like I had googled it before the interview? Did they want me to condense one of the 900 page textbooks on my shelf into a paragraph or two? My hopes, dreams and feelings on the subject? I just stammered and utterly gave up on the interview at that point.
The irony is my career primarily has been successful because of my skillset at clarification, process development, and ordering that have come from this lack of comfort with ambiguous answers.
I realize this is a long post, and I apologize, I only saw similar posts on autism, womeninautism and AutismTranslated, so I wanted to write this out in case it resonated with anyone else, but all of them were rather old and none had exactly what I was looking for, which is this:
TL;DR: Could someone help me write a template email / script to ask for interview questions ahead of an interview so I can prepare, either in writing or verbally as the interviewer prefers, as years of reinforced anxiety about ambiguity have made my freeze/flop trauma response truly awful under pressure. I would prefer not to use AI, I live in the U.S., and I would prefer to have something that acts as a 'red flag' detector while not requiring me to disclose my disability for accommodations to every interviewer.
