2025.01.22 15:52 IsIt_Worth Relearning smite
I played a ton of smite with friends and I was mainly playing support. The gods I played aren't in smite 2 yet so that's not helping but smite 2 feels much harder than smite 1 and I can't quite figure out what it is. I might be playing with newer people as well or my old group i played with wasn't the best but it feels my sides under. What general gameplans from smite 1 have changes or am I just rusty? Any advice is appreciated

2025.01.22 15:52 zas_n_n Name a mod with bosses in it
Recently, I saw a video in my recommended going over boss in the Minecraft franchise. Naturally, this made me think about how many bosses there are in Modded Minecraft.
I've decided to, for my sanity, only focus on 3 versions (1.7.10, 1.12.2 and 1.21.1), but I'd like to call on the community for this one.
Obviously, I doubt we're actually going to find EVERY boss, but i'm just curious to see how many we can get.

2025.01.22 15:52 Accomplished-Luck761 Need advice
We are both in our early 40s, met up for coffee and an early dinner. He’s a real gentleman. A quick hug after he walked me to my car. I sent a short message thanking him then drove home. A couple of minutes later, I received a Spotify playlist of what he listens to. To which I replied with my own playlist. A couple of messages were exchanged the day after then nothing. Should I reach out or quietly move on.

2025.01.22 15:52 EmbarrassedMethod916 Why so many QA jobs list postman as a required skill?
Hi,
I'm noticing during my job hunting that so many non-manual QA jobs list "postman" as one of the required skills. I don't quite understand why. During my career as a QA/SDET, I've never been in a situation where I needed to use it. I've downloaded the app on my MacBook and used it years ago, then I immediately noticed that this tool would be for people who can't write code, maybe for manual testing.
When I automate API tests, I just use one of the most popular HTTP libraries and build my own Rest API client, and just use a popular test framework for the programming language. If you can write code, it's not a difficult thing at all, it rather gives you all the flexibility you need. For example, I use Python. So I just use requests and pytest for the automated API testing.
If I want to manually make an API call as an ad-hoc test, I can just use the API client I built on the Python console, or I can even use curl too.
What's so great about postman? Maybe I'm not aware of how great postman is for automated testing? Or those jobs I'm seeing is not really automation oriented positions? One thing I'm noticing is those positions tend to be highly focused on UI automation, which still doesn't explain to me as to why postman for API testing.
I just don't understand why so many jobs require/use it, especially when the position is not a manual QA. I know it has some kind of automation feature (I don't know what exactly it is) but I can't imagine it would satisfy basic needs for people who can just write code to automate.
Please someone fill the gap I have.
Thanks!

2025.01.22 15:52 moe19941 Walmart Driver/ Grocery delivery
Do y’all receive your tip instantly? I normally pay for the 5 dollar 3 hours or less delivery ( does that 5 dollars go to y’all? ) and then I’ll leave a tip on top of that. But I also have Walmart plus and when you pay for the membership it tells you that you don’t have to tip that it’s included in the Walmart + membership. Thanks for any feedback!

2025.01.22 15:52 adohe-zz How do we implement declarative configuration management at world's largest mobile payment company?
This journey began three years ago when we were confronted with the challenges of deploying applications across diversity technology stacks and delivering them across different cloud platforms. After extensive technical research and in-depth discussions with Google's related teams, we ultimately decided to delve deeper into the proposition of declarative application configuration management. We hoped to construct a unified declarative configuration to describe application workloads and all the infrastructure they depend on. Based on this configuration, we might be able to achieve one-click delivery of our applications.
After three years of exploration and experimentation, we have successfully achieved some results. The declarative configuration management system we built covers 20% of our company's applications(nearly two thousand), and we are still in the process of migrating more applications.
Looking back at the journey of the past three years, we found many interesting thoughts and practice worth writing down and share with the whole community. Therefore, we started to write this blog series, and this is part 1 in our series, hope this can give you more insights into how to do configuration management at scale.
