How typical is it for those with ME alone, ME+IBS, and ME+IBD, to experience profound episodes of drowsiness during digestion and leading up to bowel movements?
The episodes I experience are delayed 1-2 hours from eating and last about an hour. I turn pale and the bags below my eyes darken. I get a heavy head upon postural change; which often persists and causes imbalance when standing. My eyelids get heavy and I can barely keep my eyes open. Sometimes, I have to nap.
The strangest thing about these episodes, along with the delayed onset, is the way they lift very suddenly. To me, this doesn't seem like a typical pattern for ME alone. My layman's guess would be that blood is redirected to support the straining bowel. Is that even possible?
Background: I've had mild/moderate ME for 20 years and bowel issues for longer. A highly inflamed bowel has left me housebound for several years. A second instance has left me bedbound, often sensitive to light/sound, and resting all day with no stimulation. My lab results may point to an IBD but, after the first bout, I had every investigation gastroenterology seems to offer. I'm awaiting a triage call after urgent re-referral. I would like to know if I can explain this fatigue pattern to the consultant as being outside that of typical ME. It's something I've experienced before around the bowel, to varying degrees, but this is the first time I've had such severe ME.

As you know S24 ultra did not undergo a proper demura process in display panel which results in uneven luminance of pixels that results in so called "graininess" in dark environments, especially visible on dark grays which is pretty annoying. Tons of users who have been denying it simply cannot see it or looking under wrong conditions, but it's there on every single s24 ultra device.
If they fix this in s25 ultra I'm upgrading for that reason alone.

I know there are some other threads like this, but I figured one more anecdote couldn’t hurt.
My first two Mirena insertions were done with Misoprostol and 800 mg of ibuprofen. I was crampy going in from the Misoprostol, but the insertion pain was bearable, so I figured that was about as good as it got.
This time we skipped the Misoprostol, still did the 800 mg ibuprofen, and did the cervical block. Getting the shot sucked, mainly because my doctor undersold it (typical “just a little pinch” when it was really a pretty big pinch). However, it brought the insertion pain down significantly, I’d say from a 7-8 to a 4-5 out of 10. It did make the entire procedure feel quite a bit longer, to the point that I started to get a vasovagal reaction, which has not happened to me in the past. I needed some juice and a lie down but felt fine after a few minutes.
The symptoms afterward were exactly the same, some mild cramping throughout the day, manageable with ibuprofen. I’m feeling almost 100 percent one day later. I know everyone’s experience is different, but I wanted to throw it out there that the block was a significant improvement for me in terms of pain management. I’m glad there are more options now than there were 10+ years ago when I got my first Mirena.

Okay, I really need some advice here because I’m feeling really stuck, and I’m not sure if I’m overreacting.
Throwaway for obvious reasons because my ex was on reddit a lot.
So, I (29F) have been best friends with Sarah (28F) since high school. We’ve been through a lot together, and I was so excited when she got engaged and asked me to be her maid of honor. I’ve been helping with all the wedding stuff, planning, shopping, you name it. We were both over the moon about her big day.
But here’s where it gets complicated. One of the bridesmaids, Jess (30F), is dating my ex, Mike (32M). Now, I know this sounds dramatic, but Mike and I broke up about a year ago, and honestly, it was a messy breakup. He cheated on me, and it was just a huge betrayal. We ended things on a really bad note, and I haven’t spoken to him since.
I’ve tried to be okay with it, but I found out that Jess and Mike have been together for a few months now, and I’m just… not handling it well. I’ve been feeling this growing tension every time I see Jess, and I’m really struggling to be around her knowing she’s with him. Sarah knows how much it hurt me when Mike cheated, and I’ve tried to explain to her that I just can’t be in a room with them together without feeling uncomfortable and anxious.
Here’s where the problem comes in. Sarah is insisting that I still come to the wedding and “be the bigger person.” She says I’m being petty and that I should just suck it up for her sake. She’s told me it’s her wedding day and that I shouldn’t let my issues with Mike ruin the event. She’s even said that if I don’t show up, it’ll make her “look bad” and that I’ll be letting her down.
I’ve been feeling really torn because I do want to be there for Sarah, but I just don’t know if I can stomach seeing Mike and Jess together on such an important day. The thought of having to pretend everything’s fine is making me anxious, and I’m honestly worried that I’ll ruin the mood for everyone if I go.
So, am I wrong for not wanting to attend my best friend’s wedding because of this, I have been really anxious because of this and I really am not sure to just suck it up and be there for my best friend
