Been a smoker since 2 years now. I started with vapes back in 2022 and switched to cigarettes. I like to believe I am not a heavy smoker, I smoked about 3-4 a day, but those 3-4 cigarettes were like non negotiable for me. I needed one every 4 hours or so. I am going to give an important professional exam in April and deep down, I have been wanting to quit since the last 6 months now, but I could never muster the courage. Cigarettes are a barrier on my way to success and I am not able to focus entirely with the cravings. Last week, I bought a pack of nicotine patches and sailed through the entire week. But my packet ran out today and I had to go out for a smoke tonight and I relapsed because no shop near me had patches in stock.
While walking back home, I realised that this is a never ending cycle. I want to quit cold turkey. Starting today. I need your support.

Buena chiquillos, como están. Primer post por acá pero quería comentarles para saber si alguien tuvo o no esta experiencia.
El contexto es que mi polola para navidad me compró un mouse Razer Deathadder v3 pro, cotizó en solotodo y vio que el producto estaba en 7gamer (15 de diciembre más o menos) y tenía stock. Ella hizo la compra transfiriendo con previo aviso la cantidad de $135.990.- El tema es que pasaron los días y no avisaban nada de nada por la compra y ella lo necesitaba para navidad. Cuento corto (después de mil llamados y corres que no contestaban), nos pudimos contactar y solicitamos la devolución, ya que el dueño del local dijo que habían sufrido un robo de container y que no habían podido liberar los productos, por ahí todo bien.
Posterior a eso solicitamos la devolución y le dicen que el día 20 de enero estaría la transferencia, la cosa, es que hoy siendo 22 de enero no han hecho ningún deposito a la cuenta correspondiente, ya hice el reclamo correspondiente en sernac (dudo que ayude en algo), y lo peor es que el dominio 7gamer.cl ya no está operativo, revisé en nic.cl y caducó y no lo han renovado por lo que dudo que esta persona siga con esto. Averigué varias cosas, y tiene otra tienda llamada tecnotodo pero la verdad, tampoco responden ahí.
¿Alguno podría orientarme que hacer en estos casos o si tuvo alguna experiencia similar que la comparta y saber como se solucionó? Tengo los datos del personaje ya que es bastante fácil de encontrar eso, pero no contesta a ningún número de celular.

i've been struggling with my mental health for a while, and i've been seeing a therapist for just over a year. so far, i've had my sessions online at home on my days off, but things haven't been so good at home (which is partly why i've been seeing a therapist lol) to the point where i'm not sure if i can keep having online sessions from home. i can't see my therapist in person and i don't have access to a car to drive somewhere, so my only other option is to try doing my online sessions on campus. i know this is an odd question to ask, but would anyone recommend any spots on campus where i could have an online session without bothering anybody?

Vi hoje que mais um dos “da moda” ardeu, a Casa Reya, pelos vistos atingido por um raio numa das noites mais chuvosas deste inverno, mas já vi notícias de outros na Costa da Caparica, no Meco, Peniche… Malta que trabalha em seguradoras/conheça pessoas cujo bar de praia tenha “ardido”, as indemnizações são chorudas? Ainda se pagam indemnizações ou há uma investigação como deve ser? A pessoa fica curiosa, se calhar os bares de praia já são feitos de acendalhas…

I believe i had covid in september 2024 and sfter some days i recovered went on with my gym and life and one month later got hit by a severe panick attack which lead me to an anxiety cycle ever since then but i have some notorious symptoms too Like taste many things dont taste the same anymore and in some things i taste and smell the same aromas ex doesnt matter what food is its the same in my taste a weird taste and doesnt matter what perfume some i can smell and some just come a heavy smell Do you think anxiety and this is all long covid?

Sorry if the title isn’t clear. Not sure how to summarize better.
Basically, I hear a lot about “dead languages.” Easy enough to measure depending on how you define that but is there a concept of dead words? Basically any word that had semi-regular use but fell out of favor (maybe something like thou art.)
It seems like there is some non-0 chance that some words just stop being used altogether. Maybe even the meaning has been completely forgot.
I guess really I am asking is there some percentage of English (or any language) that is effectively dead.
