2025.01.22 16:54 sweet-puranpoli How do I cope with past trauma regarding sexual abuse and a particular wedding ritual? [Serious]
I 26F am about to get married the next month and one particular ritual has been bothering me to no end. I don't know whom to ask advice since I come from a pretty conservative family too. The ritual basically goes like this; a day after the wedding, a few relatives (women) of the groom's side are supposed to give me a bath, a complete head to toe bath apparently. I just found out about this and I've been feeling uneasy about it. I also have a tattoo on my chest to make things worse, I'm afraid I'll be judged for that but honestly I've been telling myself I shouldn't care about their judgement.
Coming to the point, I was sexually abused as a teen, blackmailed for a couple of years and the person who did it also gave me severe body image issues. I couldn't get physical for years after this and nudity in front of anyone is my biggest fear ever. This was until I met my current partner, he's a wonderful man and we both are finding it difficult to navigate through this particular situation and this particular ritual. He's been telling me he can have a conversation with my mom in law stating that I'm not comfortable with it but it might be a super difficult and awkward conversation for him.
The entire thought of being in a vulnerable state in front of people who are strangers, although they are women is scaring me to no avail. I have so much unresolved trauma from the past that I just don't know how to escape it. How do I even cope with this?

Hi all
Recently got a Jetson Orin Nano Super to learn some ML and to see if Plex in Docker with hardware acceleration is a viable option on this hardware.
I have set up similar x86 rigs for Plex in Docker with Nvidia hardware acceleration and got that working with no trouble. I have seen various posts stating that it works on the Orin Nano, but for some reason it's not working on my Super. Basically, when transcoding, CPU cores max out and using nvidia-smi I can see no gpu activity.
Have I missed anything? Any suggestions?

ordered off this site two times now and have had bad experiences with shipping both times, stuck in transit for days with no updates, long delays, missing packages (the 2nd time i ordered, still stuck in transit after 15 days, assuming lost)
customer service is great as they reimburse you fully but man it's becoming increasingly frustrating dealing with them

kinda true i wrote a similar message yesterday and just one person chat me which is fine but the endless boredom keeps existing and thriving which is dangerous to say the least. its again a sunny day down here and im in some kind of limbo because the girl who manages the AC like the place so cold that i forget is summer outside. you can check my previous messages to get a glimpse of the kind of ill-fated, non enthusiasm, grey hearted person i am. but anyway, i still have some vibe. i may add some details i havent in previous post just because. i don't think anyone actually cares by the way. but i guess people read something and is like 'oh damn we do breathe we have something in common lets be friends'. it usually doesn't happen but whatever. sometimes you wouldn't believe how much you have in common with other people. for example we all have lungs i think. going back to the main topic, i also can play many musical instruments, kinda 90s 2000s alternative and mainstream music as well enjoyer, my mood is ruined if its raining, i smoke cigarrettes like there's no tomorrow, kinda alcoholic, walk a lot like a lot, i have a colorful disruptive fashion choice, i do not use caps and i disable all autocorrect options cause i dont like people to know if im on phone or computer and because it looks robotic. im usually on the computer tho my phone is like 6 years old i dont really use it. i play geoguessr kinda a lot but im still bad a it. sometimes i dont know if im in brazil or thailand. i would like to travel to eastern europe and central asia. i love languages and scripts. well thats too much already just dm me xoxo

Now I'm not sure if anyone has thought of this already but I still want to share my theory.
Now in RRTP if you chose to leave the pizzaria Oswald would return to the present and he will become 40 years old. Now if that's the case than we can specify when dous ITP takes place (even if this is all just an agony hallucination). Now if Oswald is 10-11 years old when he jumps into the pit and return 40 after he leaves 1985 Freddy's he will end up 30 years later in 2015.
This could either take place before FNAF 3 or after depending of when do you think FNAF 3 takes place in the first place. It could be possible that is not exactly 30 years and ITP happence in 2018-2019. I think these are also pretty good years too. The only problem with that is if RRTP really mean anything to the Mainline at all or not. But what do you guys think?
