2025.01.22 18:00 HolyyyRavioliii Looking for input on best path for future and development
My 10 year old son plays soccer for our local team (Team A). Recently he has been recruited by another, significantly better, club. This team (Team B.) is interested in him joining their organization immediately so we will need to make a decision relatively quickly.
My dilemma - when we accepted the position on Team A we committed to the fall and spring season. If we pursue the opportunity with Team B, we would have to quit Team A halfway through. Unfortunately, he cannot play for both teams. It’s a conflict and stated very clearly in the rules of the league.
I hate to burn bridges so the thought of basically abandoning Team A kills me, however, Team B is part of a much better overall soccer program and would be amazing for his growth and development.
Ultimately the final decision will be up to my son but I figured I would ask for others input as well. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!

If I’m closeted and live with parents, how do I open up to say I want to visit someone in another country far away that I’d like to see?
It may bring exposure, it may not— would my parents like the idea of me visiting a longtime friend ONLINE (who they have no idea about) that asked if I wanted to see the country? Would I say it’s just a college friend who lives over there?
I know this is counterintuitive from opening up, but would like to see where things go in person first before opening up to everyone.

I hate having to learn new things because of the inability to get over the if i dont get it the first time it stresses me out and then my brain refuses to continue cause it feels stupid. I know that logically thats how you learn, you just gotta keep trying but damn is it a fight against my brain. Also any information that is fluffed up to sound smart and prestigious but fails to explain its topics at a simple level irritates me. Like cmon son just teach the knowledge you have, stop trying to sound better. Makes me wish more people lived by the standard of “explain it like you are teaching a child,” because then you really see who understands the subject.
