Btw I’m only making this post because people have been talking about admin abuse or cheaters. This is my personal and blantantly open problem that I had to deal with on an Arma Conflict server and nobody in the server helped at all. Not only that but Arma Conflict seems to be a server lots of players want to put their trust and support into.
I was playing on an Arma Conflict server last night. I forgot the guys name maybe it was epiphany or epifamy. I forget but it was an Iraq server insurgency. My friend and I usually play WCS cause it has so much content and is so well done.
But we decided to play an arma conflict because Iraq war seemed cool as fuck. We get on there and well first lack of fucking content, and also the shit is buggy as hell compared to WCS. They should put more time into their servers.
We were coming up on a point and this guy “epifamy” I forget his fucking name tbh. But this dude kept killing us and all our teammates one guy. So initially thought was well this guy is just good as fuck. Well later on my friend gets shot down in an open area. This guy walks up on my dead friend in the open area and just stands there. I’m not too far.
I line up my shot, I’m laying down mind you so pure stability and no sway. I shoot this guy in the head twice then multiple times in the chest. He literally just stands there looks around for me and shoots the shit out of me. Kills me. At that point I realized this dude is fucking cheating or an admin.
I message in all chat and ask about it, and ask why he’s cheating? I ask for the admin or game master. One person says it’s epiphany or whatever his name was. Then the guy goes on saying he’s not cheating, it’s a skill issue, and a lot of people defending him.
This guy then went on a rampage killing like 10+ of our guys and literally just walking up to our command truck and just destroying it. I then messaged in global chat saying “I’m never playing another arma conflict game again, I’m glad we have WCS”.
just letting yall know. Never had an issue in WCS also it’s not buggy af for the most part and way more content. Actually seems like WCS puts care into their creation.
And btw my bad I should’ve remembered the players name but me and my friends reported him for cheating just in case he was cheating. Idk what admins can and can’t do, but he may have just been an admin abusing his power. But I will never play another Arma Conflict server again, simply because WCS is better in terms of creation, content, and no cheaters or abuse.
This was probably my worst game or match I dealt with in this game, and tbh I’m loving this game. So I’m not saying yall are gonna experience the same, but if you do just know ur not alone and it’s happened.

Hello! So, I recently had surgery after going to the ER. I had a lumbar microdiscectomy, and everyone I talked to basically said I had like the largest herniation they'd ever seen. It was causing issues with my foot and leg from the severe nerve compression, in addition to my back pain. I'm 3 weeks post-op today, and just started PT yesterday. I'm still having issues with my leg and foot, and I'm gathering that this might take a really long time to heal, if it does at all. Including MRI images to see the impacted nerve (sorry for the annotations; had to do that so my family would understand what they were looking at).
I'm trying to learn more about what's actually going on with my peroneal nerve, and I haven't been able to find anything helpful yet. I know that my herniation was compressing my nerve in the L-4 L-5 area, but I don't really understand exactly how nerves work, or the mechanism, or something like that...? Why do I have so much pain in my leg, when the nerve was damaged in my low back? I mean, I kind of understand because they're connected, but what's really happening? When I do certain things or move certain ways, it causes the affected areas in my leg and foot to hurt and then causes additional pain later. For example, I can't sit and lean to my left, putting more pressure on my glute, or stretch my hamstring on my left side. They told me at PT that I shouldn't do things that aggravate it, and the nerve needs time to heal and calm down. But I guess I don't really understand why doing things like moving my leg or stretching my hamstring is causing such a problem. Does this make sense? Can anyone explain how this works?
Here's some more background info if you want to read it...
I've been dealing with herniated discs for a little over 20 years, since I was in a car accident as a teenager. I've had back pain and sciatica that has gotten better and worse for most of that time. I've done a million rounds of PT, had steroid injections, done radioculopathy, all with limited success. In November, I started having another bad flare up, where my back was really bad and I was struggling to stand, walk, move, turn, etc. In December, I started having issues with my leg. I thought at first it was a super tight hamstring, but I woke up one day with a numb and tingling foot. I also started having some of the worst pain in my leg that I've ever experienced. Like please, someone come cut my leg off because I can't live like this. Muscles in my left foot started getting weaker and that eventually extended into my lower leg, too. My gait got really weird and side-to-side in a loping way because of my dumb foot, and sometimes my leg would just go out or stop supporting me. Bladder stopped working consistently, too. Saw a spine specialist who didn't really care, and said to go see a surgeon. Made an appointment, but it was weeks out for even the MRI. Eventually went to the ER where they did an MRI and were like, uhhh, you need to have surgery immediately. We're transferring you to another hospital right away because we're worried you might have a permanent disability if you don't resolve this soon. So, I got surgery, and everything has improved a bunch! My back pain is much improved. But I still have all of the issues with my left leg and foot (pain, weakness, numbness and tingling), just not as severe. Oh yeah, while the back issues were bad for a month or two, the problems with my leg and foot were going on about 2 and a half weeks before surgery. I want to get better and help myself to heal the best I can, but I just don't really understand how all of these nerves actually work. Any insight is appreciated!

I have a question for my experienced guys. I wanna be a cop. I have been for a while. For context, I live in PA. Very few departments have their own academy and pretty much none will sponsor you to go to one. So your options are to get hired on at a big city (Pittsburgh, Philly, etc) and get paid to go through theirs, go to state police (which I don't wanna do), or pay your way through an academy at a college. I've been applying to big cities to try and get on but some have told me it's better to get your certification on your own that way you can work wherever you want. I live alone and work full-time so I'd have to do a part time academy through a local college. I'd have some financial help from my father. What do you guys think? Should I keep pursuing a big city where I can get paid to go to the academy but deal with the big city department problems? Or should I take the longer way and earn my certification on my own? How did you guys get into law enforcement? If you could go back would you do it differently? Any insight would help.

2025.01.22 19:25 AlphaBladeYiII Is it just me, or are the comics continuing to decline?
I did not hide my belief that the post-TESB era was overall mediocre and convoluted. When this run was announced, I thought the premise seemed cool. Unfortunately, I did not really enjoy it at all. The pacing was absolutely bizzare, and made it feel like too much was happening and yet nothing meaningful happened. It felt like 50 issues of static crammed into 12. The characters were one-dimentional as hell. The villain was quite frankly lame as hell and I was largely unable to take him seriously. The dialogue was about as bland as can be. The connections to Aftermath were confusing considering I haven't read that trilogy.
I feel like I need to reread the whole thing to figure out what was happening, but I don't have the energy. This series didn't feel like it told a story. I've been critical of Soule's 2020 flagship run, but at least that one had a great arc for Luke and some good issues and moments. This one felt like a waste of time.
Apparently, Seguera is now writing the next flagship..... And I feel kinda crushed. I liked fleshing out the OT first, but I think a lot of us were dying to see what happened with our heroes after the OT. And now....I can't say I'll be reading the next ongoing. Maybe if I hear consistently good reviews I'll check it out, but for now I feel like I need to walk away from Star Wars comics for a while. I haven't vibed with any of the book and comics writers for years now.

The inside and outside decorations (that aren't moulded) are just cardboard with watercolor pencils, I chose a rainbow motif to give it a pop of color. I'm considering other designs that can be swapped around in the future too. For those who are curious, the one page RPGs I have are from itch.io, called Hollow Hike and Pride and Gossip. The other one is Dungeon Zero from Paper Apps. My dice are a set from AliExpress lol, while the others were somewhere around my house for ages. The dice tray is from the page r-n-w. I had enough of this now. If you don't realize that this game uses EOMM you are blind. I have several accounts (self made) who is hardstuck in different ELO. Solo Q only. Im talking accounts all the way from silver to immortal 2. The games i get in.. its unreal. More often than not enemies have inhuman reactions and strafe speed. Im talking peekers advantage/desync up to 2 whole second. Most blatant evidence is the Stockholm server where i get 14 ping. Always against russians on 60-110 ping. The amount of desync and lag compensation used is f insane. Its like no other FPS game. My connection is flawless, FTTH. Yet 9/10 matches im clearly behind the server. Its worse in low elo. Its so f clear to me that there is som fuckery going on behind the scenes making my bullets not registering and giving the enemies insane peekers advantage. When the game first came out you could tell all the shit going on just by knifing the wall. If the knife hitmarker was delayed you knew you were in hell and behind the server. Then they patched it so that the knife hitmarker was clientside. Not fixing the game.. just hiding it from the player base.
And the replay system. Of course there is no replays and it never will. It would kill the whole game when players finally saw for themself what kind of shit Riot was doing to us. Shame on you all, grow a f wiener and be transparent about the product you deliver. Its not a competitive shooter, its a f skin buying simulator. Its all about the money. Picked up a skin from the ground you dont own? Congratulations, we give you aimbot. Buy it for yourself? Naaah, aimbot gone.
Writing this seconds after rage quitting a game in silver elo getting one tapped by every bottomfeeder the elo had to offer. Teammates looking at the ground not knowing the difference between site A and B.. and you're telling me im up against 5x TenZ on crack? Naaaah. This was right after two back to back MVPs in immortal elo. Seriously.. stop f us over. I played FPS shooters since CS 1.3. I know when im being manipulated.
Ahhh.. You don't have these issues? Well hooray for you. For all i know your connection suits the lag comp perfectly og you are whitelisted because you're streaming/making content. F this SHIT.
