Naturally the common people don't want war neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship.
Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.

First of all, sorry if my english is poor. Not my first language. This is going to contain several spoilers about Caleb's story, so warning ahead. Also long a** post lmao.
So, I've seen several people pointing out Caleb's toxicity comes with the trauma of what happened to him after the explosion, saying he wasn't like this before, even saying he's acting like this because of the chip implemented in him. And I wanted to add my opinion on the matter, after watching the main story, the anecdote and several of his memories, although I couldn't read absolutely everything (Hard to get the 5 five star memories in a go, lol).
He has always been like this. Overprotective and obsessive towards the MC. Yes, the trauma he has suffered might have accentuated it, but he has shown the signs and red flags from very early on. And we have a lot of clues on the matter.
1. But he wasn't like this the first time he made an appearance!
Wrong. In Chapter 4 Episode 3 we can see clearly he's very protective of us. MC points out she's an adult now, and Caleb can't protect her forever. He seems to disagree, implying if he wasn't around, she wouldn't be able to turn to anyone else. When MC asks about it, he simply dismiss it. There's a reason people thought he would be a yandere.
2. Caleb's anecdote and his mental health
In Caleb's anecdote, Chapter 1 "Training" page 8, were we find more about Caleb's story in the Aerospace Academy, we discover he managed to pull out perfect grades on every category BUT the psychological one, were he got the lowest grade. The final result in the matter was "Psychological consultations are recommended.", implying he wasn't on a good mental health way before everything happened in the main story.
3. Bond story "Rain's Embrace"
When my best friend watched this, she told me she found it really disturbing. I didn't agree, I found it really cute (I'm also a big fan of yanderes, so I might have missed the clue the first time). So, little kid Caleb decided to LOC K us in the attic to "protect" us from the bullies, and left us there for a whole day. There's no way that's normal behavior, not even for a kid. Something was wrong from the very beginning.
4. Main story "Captive Bird"
Well, yeah, this was a rollercoaster of emotions. But the reason I bring this up, is because almost at the ending, he admits he's tired of holding himself. He has always hold himself bac k for MC's sake, but after being separated for so long and reuniting again, he just didn't care anymore. He wouldn't let MC go ever again.
These are the clues I found about his mental state, and why I firmly believe he is not like this because of any trauma experienced, or a chip he has on his head. I think he really is disturbed. And it is really refreshing, considering how "perfect" the rest of LI are. He's a very troubled man that needs lot of psychological help.
If at the end they decide to go with the trauma or chip thing, well, I was wrong lol. But I honestly hope it isn't the case, and we find a LI that is nothing like perfect.
Anyway, sorry about the long post. I'm happy to see everybody's view in the matter.

Is it just me or has Dominic been particularly difficult to hear lately (like the last few weeks). I feel like he’s been trailing off or mumbling a lot at the end of sentences to where I can’t hear what he’s saying and have to turn the volume all the way up. I don’t know if he’s got a cold or what but it’s been very strange.

 | Can’t wait for UH to delete my post as I have nothing good to say today. While I’ve been preaching about it to my friends for a while, the ring has been nothing but a disappointment lately. To point a few things: 1. It recorded 1h41m of sleep last night between 10 PM and 12 PM. Well guess what, I actually went to bed at 2 AM and slept until 7:30. Woke up briefly then slept until 9AM. It still insists I somehow was sleeping between 10 and midnight and there’s nothing I can do to change it or report the inaccuracy.

(CRINGE WARNING) ive noticed a pattern within myself. Whenever I watch or read something, and really REALLY REALLY like it I get super passionate about it, especially if there are one or two characters that I love and admire. For example one time there was this character that I was obsessed with from a tv show, and genuinely researched her personality into oblivion, her style, mannerisms, way they talk, body language, etc and tried to be like her. And then, sometimes I’d get insecure about why I’m not as cool or amazing as I thought these characters were. I’d think about them all day, draw fanart about them, write about them, etc. I get very immersed into the world.
Lately ive been watching twilight a few days ago and I’m obsessed. I rewatched it again, and am obsessed with the female main character Bella swan. And obviously the male main character Edward Cullen, who I fantasise about as well. Every time I get really passionate about a form of media I feel like it consumes me. Eg today I was working out and I thought wait Bella swan isn’t athletic, maybe I should stop etc. and now I’m trying to copy her style, her hair, personality, clothes etc. even without trying consciously, I just find myself copying the character I like at the moment. I guess it’s because I found her really relatable and the books too, we look similar as well with brown wavy/curly hair, brown eyes and pale skin and she makes me feel like you know, I can see my personality in a main character too.
I’m reading fan fiction, I’m looking at fanart, I’m writing about twilight, im using it for Pinterest inspo, I even listen to twilight music now going to school. All I’m thinking about everyday is twilight. I do this every time I’m obsessed with something. This is my current obsession. I’m 16.
I really enjoy this feeling. When I’m obsessed about something, it makes me tremendously happy, and I usually have a low mood. When I can’t find something to immerse myself in, I get somewhat bogged down in my day to day life. It just adds passion and fun to my otherwise boring, type A life.
Is my ability to immerse myself into a fictional world really that bad? Sometimes I feel like I have no sense of identity. I don’t know who I am. But I know what I like. Help?

2025.01.22 22:10 Xachi97 Help with Hercules miter saw I scored.
 | Yo HF fans! I too got lucky with coping this tool at around $150 vs the $249 orange tag vs the $349 retail price. I'm not too knowledgeable with miter saws, so I come asking all y'all who have any info who can share what I should be looking out for during these next 4 days while still within in the return window. My understanding with the orange tag is that it was sent back to the manufacturer to inspect, repair, and then a final inspection before it was sent out for resale. For now, it does turn on based in the lighting it emits and the blade spins fiercely when pulling that trigger. I think I noticed a single spark or burnt kindle fly out and so I stopped messing with it for now. Not sure if maybe there's some saw to metal contact going on in the saw housing.
