Basically as the title says. Apparently there's something in my foot, they did a biopsy to check it and had 3 different samples. It was confirmed non cancerous and not caused by bacterial infection and from the description, whatever it is seems to be bits of bone foci and tissue or something. Not entirely sure.
Apparently there's nothing they can do, they said the only weird thing is that it's causing pain. I have been taking pain meds everyday for a year before the surgery and have been referred to the pain clinic. Right now I've been asked to take some lowerdose painkillers because daily advil is bad for my kidneys so I'm worried about the effects of that.
It seems totally unacceptable to me that nothing can be done though. So I have to be on pain meds daily for the rest of my life? I really don't understand, there must be a cause. Does anybody know of anything similar or if the pain is likely to die down eventually?

Hello all, A buddy and I are attempting to plan a ski trip for spring break. We want to maximize fun while also not spreading a ridiculous amount of money. We are open to flying anywhere in the US (would be flying from charlotte) and both of us are very competent skiers so terrain isn’t a huge issue as well. We are looking at around 4-6 days total. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, I'm getting back into snowboarding for first time in like 8 or 9 years. Overwhelmed by choices of boards to say the least, but done a ton of research. I need a new ride and looking for all mountain, or freeride side of all-mountain. I am also on ice coast and need a board that can hold an edge well in ice and lame conditions, and good on groomers. And maybe some powder especially if/when I take a trip to better locations (Colorado/Japan possibilities down road). I don't really do park. I probably was an aggressive carver, intermediate or intermediate-advance when I snowboarded last. I probably will be a lil rusty getting back into it, but def not starting from scratch.
I am thinking Capita Equalizer. Jones Dream Weaver is a close contender, but read somewhere that it might be more beginner-intermediate board, and loses some stability at faster speeds? But not sure. I'm also debating about sizes. I'm 5'2", 128-130 lbs, and size 6 women's boot. Weight wise, I could probably do a 146. But with small boots, I probably need a 142. Capita website size finder says 142. Any advice? Thank you <3 <3

My husband and I just got a certified pre-owned 2022 crosstrek. Wondering what some of your guys favorite features are with it? We’re still exploring all the controls and getting used to the way it drives. We know how to use all the basic things like seat warmers, touch screen radio with the Bluetooth and all that. Another question, is there anything we can do to help it handle the snow better? I’m not sure if it’s just our tires, if the car doesn’t handle snow well in general or what. My husband is very good at driving. I don’t drive as much. But we live in Wisconsin with very heavy winters and it just snowed again. We took the crosstrek out in the snow for the first time and it felt very “slippery” compared to our other cars (dodge caravan, Nissan maxima) granted the caravan does have winter tires.

I am a team leader at a large NZ company and our department has a total of 3 teams leaders (2x female people team leaders and 1x male technical team leader). I have been in this department the longest out of everyone, my co people team leader has minimal payroll experience (was promoted after the last team leader left) so is on slightly less salary as she started in the role after me. The technical team leader (TTL) started as a senior when I was still at an admin level due to him coming straight from another company in the same industry. We were both promoted to team leaders at the same time so have been on the same salary. My job is more people focused on things like training, team development, documentation etc but still has a lot of technical elements like complex calculations, keeping on top of changes in legal documentation and making sure they are implemented in the system. The TTL mostly focuses on background type stuff like system calculations, facilitating system changes, and while I'm proficient in excel he is definitely more of an expert in that department. So the TTL has over time become one of the most respected and valued team members and I can not fault him for that as he is very talented. He is constantly given praise and and a lot of my technical jobs have started to be handed over to him, which is understandable because of his job title. But I am starting to feel like my role is becoming a glorified admin because the only job I have that I can call mine is the training documentation, which is also starting to become outsourced to our project team department. Even then I barely get any praise for the work I do as if it is inferior to everything the TTL does. I have started to feel like our boss has become very picky at everything I do and questioning everything I say while the TTL gets endless amount of praise and jobs. I have brought it up with my boss before but I felt gaslit because she insinuated I was just jealous. I will admit I have been extremely emotional lately because of a lot of personal issues going on outside of work. My dad being diagnosed with cancer last year being one of them. While I try to remain professional sometimes everything gets the best of me and it shows at work ie becoming quieter than usual or just needing some alone time and not engaging as much. I try to communicate when this happens so no one misinterprets it as directed at them. When I am in good spirits I joke around and have a laugh with the other staff. After my dad was diagnosed with cancer I believe my concentration slipped because I made a few mistakes around communication and work load, which I apologised for profusely and bought everyone chocolates to make up for it. However my boss still pulled me into a meeting room and accused me of bullying some of the staff and lumping my work on others while I was away on management training for 2 days, admitting to me that everyone in the team was angry at me including her, while I sat there in tears feeling attacked. I walked out of the office in tears and multiple other staff from different departments noticed which was humiliating.
Fast forward to this year, I received a 2% increase this month because my boss told me our company has not done well financially compared to previous years which I was disappointed about but assumed everyone got the same pay rise. After feeling somewhat bullied for about a year now I had a sick feeling and because of the nature of my job I have access to staff records. I checked the TTLs increase and he received an increase of 5% on his base salary so is now on a higher salary than me. If I was treated with the same respect as the TTL I probably wouldn't be as distraught as I am. Is being a people leader less valuable than a technical leader? Or is he more valued than me because he is an unemotional male? What rights do I have?
