Imagine if there is a Fire Emblem with a "gang"-esque ambientation, where there is an actual gang war over all the city for some quite strong drug called the "Fire Emblem", developed by a drunk guy on a land faraway using the juice magic of an ancient dragonstone he picked up after shooting a shotgun point-blank into the head of a transformed dragon that tried to attack him.
You could have everything a normal FE has, but guns replace bows and "Magic" reflects how quickly and how big can someone do a skyrocket on the spot. Defense now is defined by the quality of a bulletproof jacket that is wearable and build of a character (how big he is and how bully he is, aka build). Horses are now bikes and Generals are cars lol

silly question but i’m an anxious person. i’ve been vegetarian most of my life. only meat i’ve ever eaten is hot dogs, breaded chicken, and shrimp. i haven’t eaten any meat in quite a while. last time i had some was a bite of a chicken tender a few months ago. tonight i ate one small chicken nugget and i am super paranoid im going to be sick or something because my body isn’t “used to meat” or whatever. will this happen??

I’ve used a straw brush multiple times with dish soap and hot water and that gets some of it out, but it seems like a lot is just stuck in there (this pic is a few hours after using the straw brush.) Majorly a vent. In my life as an academic autistic I have gone through some stressful times, of course First out of state conference? First out of state meltdown. Tight deadline? Tight existential crisis. However, none of it had truly prepared me for the stress that is PhD application process. You have advised to contact PIs to be sure that they are taking students. But then, actually some PIs despise potentials students emailing them. And those who don't will more likely ignore your email because they don't want to compromise a hope or delusion. And the few that answer your emails will then process to interview you, which is anxiety wrecking itself, and even if you have an incredible interview that doesn't mean nothing yet. Still on interviewing faculty, they say to send them an email as early as possible. But then, actually don't do that that early. Some faculties prefer to receive an email in July, others in August. Some think that emails received in late August is the reflection on a student too low invested, and so on. And the worst of it all? The schools aren't going to actually say that to you, you have to discover the hidden agenda by scratching about PhD in every corner of internet you find. And that is not even mentioning the Statement of Purpose, where you have to be direct and show your research but actually don't delve too deep in technical terms. But actually don't be too direct, have some story telling. But also don't do too much story telling. Oh, and we like diversity, it would be nice to show it on your SoP. Actually, don't show too much of it. And so on. I am academic, I'm ready to deal with chaos but the hidden agenda of PhD application is so stressful, and so is the fact that you have to prepare yourself to apply in the end of the year and even if you do your best, nothing is guaranteed because it all comes down to funding. People on the sub who managed to get in a PhD, how did you do it?

2025.01.23 01:10 Rich-Ad-3946 Anybody have tricks for speed leveling to 100?
I'm working on finishing the tower to unlock m3. I have a lot of pokemon I've bred to have perfect stats, but maaaan leveling them all to 100 is slow going.
My current method is taking a team of 5 to train and 1 lv 100 false swiper. I do mystic forest false swipe (until IVs are full). then I move to Terra sanctuary with honey equipped on the false swiper to draw hoards. Of course lucky eggs equipped on everything else as well as exp share after ivs are full. Once I hit about level 85 on everything I'll take them with a lv 100 sweeper to e4 and use the training mon as much as I can for kills till I hit 100.
This whole thing still takes about 5+ hours of lazy playing (breaks/zoning out watching TV now and then) to get a team of 5 to 100. (That is of course after and not counting all the time it takes to breed them with perfect 10s in the first place)
Any and all tips to help speed the process would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Looking to get into flying a bit more and have been looking at a couple of the beginner options from Horizon. As I decide, random ideas come to mind and one that is sticking is to make an RC version of the helo I spent large portion of my adult life flying.
Would it be feasible to make it look like a scale model by printing a Blackhawk shell to go around something like the 120 S2? My thinking is something like the shell on the 150 FX or the Eclipse.

- After a long conversation about a personal topic I need help with. I’ll ask it to recommend me a cathartic film to help me process my current feelings. This has been great. I have so many insecurities to work through, and sometimes I just need to either empathize or see a different perspective. It knows exactly what film I need to watch.
- Sometimes, conversations can go in circles, and I feel like I’m not getting much out of it, even though I know there’s more. When that happens, I’ll tell it: “Snap me out of this. Make this the final wake-up call. Bully me out of this feeling—no holds barred, keep nothing to yourself.” This approach isn’t for everyone, but if you can handle a roast, the results are really eye-opening.
- If the conversation has been fruitful, but I feel I need more time to internalize it, I’ll paste the whole conversation into NotebookLM. Then, I ask it to create an audio version. I give specific instructions like not mentioning ChatGPT, among other refinements. It generates a podcast-style discussion with two people talking about my personal life. You can’t imagine how cathartic and enlightening this can be. It also works as a kind of hypnosis.
- If I’ve had an argument with someone, I’ll paste the conversation and ask it to signal blind spots and unconscious manipulation. I also ask how the conversation could have been better and what went well to maintain balance. This has been incredibly helpful for reflection and self-awareness.
- Maybe more conventional, but I will ask it to use CBT and cognitive reframing tools to rewire my intrusive thoughts into more manageable and constructive ones.
