I honestly thought excessive daytime sleepiness was normal. I sleep within an hour of going to bed, laying down and unwinding. It's pretty easy for my to fall asleep, not stay asleep.
I've always had vivid, horrific dreams. Someone dying, me attempting to save someone, etc. Latest was fighting off a lion with a butter knife to protect my dog...stuff like that. Always bloody, always killing, always violent. Nightmares as an adult. Occasionally night terrors.
Recently saw a psychiatrist for anxiety and depression. He asked how I slept. Intermittent. I go to bed at the same time relatively every night. But I wake up 1-3 times throughout. Usually after every vivid dream, I wake up. Really bad nights? 5 times. And when I awake, I'm wide awake. I've even chosen to just start my day 6+ hours before work.
Recently prescribed doxepin. Hesitant about taking it, because this type of lifestyle is all I've known. I went in to treat my anxiety and depression, never knowing or even considering I had insomnia. It's my "normal", ya know?
Any OTC I've taken was melatonin. 6mg can knock me out for about 4 hours. Just kinda adjusting to this diagnosis, since I thought nothing was wrong to begin with. Or maybe, I just normalized things interally?

2025.01.23 01:24 rinky79 Second-guessing myself on how to integrate the new kitty
I just got a 5th cat. (Just fully embracing the cat lady label at this point.) He's a 12-week-old Maine Coon. He has been contained in a spare room since bringing him home on Saturday. I've taken him out and held him while the other kitties approach, and then last night I blocked off the stairs and let him roam the upstairs with me in the room. The other kitties all hiss ANGRILY. If I let the baby run free, he runs at the big cats, either trying to be friendly or looking for milk (it does look like he's approaching them from the side for a split second before they run). It doesn't seem aggressive, but it's determined and full speed. So far I've intervened before anyone gets smacked.
He is a squirmy worm and does NOT do calm lap time (yet?), so there's little hope of keeping him on my lap and letting the big kitties approach at their own pace.
It's been 5 years since I introduced a new kitten. Cats 1 & 2 are siblings, 7 years old. When they were 2, I got Cat 3, who is half bengal and completely unhinged. So I got Cat 4, for Cat 3 to play with so 1 & 2 didn't murder her. 3 & 4 were about a month apart in age (8 wks and 12 wks). I don't recall even the half-bengal running after the bigs; she wanted to play and snuggle but at least she approached at a walking pace and was respectful at first. And Cat 4 definitely was not running at anyone. I remember there being some hissing, but no chasing, and the bigs would sit just out of reach and observe the babies with an air of disdain, until they got over their snit and accepted the new status quo.
So, should I just let the new baby chase and get smacked? I don't want anyone to get a claw to the eye, or be forever traumatized and fearful. (Cat 3 likes to chase and pounce on Cat 2 and 2 haaates it, so there's already history of that.) Should I put him on a harness and keep him within 6 feet of me while I sit on the couch? He REALLY wants to be out of the spare room. Not counting the day I brought him home, it's been four full days of quarantine. He's starting to bolt for the door when I open it.

2025.01.23 01:24 Inkkeiii what kind of light would you use for a planted 20gal (long)?
i’m new to the plants so i’ve been sticking to java fern/ amazon sword and water sprite in my normal 20gal. i just set up a 20gal long and it needs a light to fit it and be able to keep plants happy, im not one to know what im looking for when it comes to plants needs light wise, but i do know fertilizer wise, kinda funny really
but i need a light that’s not godly expensive, can make plants thrive, and fits the 30 x 12 x 12 and the tank won’t have a lid on it, and if it does it will be glass/ plexiglass if necessary

I have had this rash for a week now. I rewashed all my clothes in my typical detergent, rewashed all blankets, pillow cases and sheets, flipped my mattress. I’ve tried Benadryl, calamine, and cortisone cream. Nothing is working. I am allergic to prednisone so I can’t take the steroid they wanted to prescribe to me. If anyone has ideas, I would really appreciate the help!

Bom, eu sou M 19 e atualmente vou pro 3° período de Direto.. e estou infeliz com o curso. Esse para mim era o Senhor Curso, desde pequena eu falava sobre querer fazer Direito como se realmente soubesse sobre justiça e não tivesse falando isso pois tinha visto uma namorada do meu tio se formar e tornar advogada e simplesmente achar ✨️chique✨️ haha, coisa de criança. Hoje eu me arrependo muito de ter entrado, gastado dinheiro, passado raiva com trabalho, com grupo, com amigas com TUDO, tudo que envolve aquele curso pra mim tá fadado (para mim, okay?) é tudo muito politicamente correto apenas na teoria e temos que fingir que a justiça é feita na prática quando não é claramente, a personalidade da maioria dos estudantes são irritantes e eu jurava que era meme mas não, não é. Passar horas ouvindo sobre leis e coisas que não são aplicadas na vida real para no final fazer um concurso/advogar me enchia de tédio.. não é algo que gosto. Quero mudar para letras, e me julgue.. mesmo que irei ganhar pouco ao menos faria algo simples que gosto, que é estar atrelada a linguagem, estudar livros e poder ensinar um dia, não precisar usar ternos pesados com uma maquiagem padrão.. eu posso ser uma professora incrível, tenho isso aliás no meu sangue! Mas sei que falar isso com meus pais seria difícil porque "não é qualquer curso, é Direito", eu estaria jogando fora as expectativas deles.. além do medo de me arrepender por largar um curso que se diz emprego na certa, concorrido, difícil. Qualquer palavra de ajuda é bem vinda.

I’m a 19-year-old female, and I need some advice about something weird that happened to me. Out of nowhere, I’ve developed these really intense bruises on the sides of my breasts. They’re dark purple, almost like a burst of blood under the skin. My boyfriend noticed them today, and now he’s suspicious, thinking I might have cheated on him or something.
The thing is, I didn’t do anything unusual! Yesterday, there were no marks at all, but today, during a normal day—just going for a walk, nothing else—they suddenly appeared. He doesn’t believe me when I say it just happened, and he insists bruises like that don’t show up for no reason.
But I genuinely have no idea how this happened. I’ve never had something like this before. Could it be a medical issue, or does anyone know why bruises like these might appear out of the blue? I’d really appreciate any tips or insights because I’m honestly worried now.

My USC husband passed suddenly while my I-130 and I-485 are still pending(PD Nov 2023). Fortunately, I have a standalone EAD approved in Aug 2024 to continue to work and support myself. I called USCIS to report his death, the agent mentioned form I-360 since my husband can no longer attend the interview with me if there is one in the future.
Our case background: AOS from F1, overtayed a few months. My husband and I met in 2019 and got married in 2023. Supporting documents we sent with our application:
- Copy of marriage register
- Copies of driver's licenses with the same home address
- Copies of our military(retired)/military spouse ID
- Joint bank statements
- Joint credit card statements
- Joint auto insurance
- Health insurance
- Dental Insurance
- Life insurance policy
We did get an RFE right after we applied for a missing signature on I-864. We responded in Dec 2023, radio silence after it was marked as received. Financially, I am not quite ready to hire an attorney right now. Can I submit the I-360 by myself? What are the steps and where to send it? Can you please share your experiences and knowledge on how to move my case forward?
I know I am supposed to stay strong and keep fighting as many people are in worse situations. It's harder than I thought. I don't know what to do, what to think. Sorry I hope what I wrote makes sense.

From what I can tell from Laking's records, the armet was not widely made in England until the later years of the 15th century. How plausible could it have been for an English knight of the time to have his hands on an Italian example?
