I'm a waiter(21M) at a restaurant in central London, today while on duty I was to hand the main dishes to a table when the older man on the table began to berate me for not cleaning up his plates, I simply responded with an "ofcourse" which he immediately threw back at me yelling "Ofcourse you should've cleaned it" as though I'd commited some cardinal sin for not doing it?(we were busy at the time and I wouldn't have had a chance eitherway). At this point I responded with a firm "It's OKAY" to his face while staring in his eyes, i got away from the table as fast as I could because had I gone back I would have definitley smacked his lopsided crusty a@s across that table, I have geniunly never felt such hatred in my life for anyone. I'm afraid that if I see him again I won't be able to hold myself back from a confrontation, but I also can't allow people to think they can get away with this behaviour either.
What would be the appropriate response?

i’m trying to connect my brand new rode NT1 microphone to logic pro on my mac and it’s not recording anything. i’m using my pre sonus audiobox usb 96 to connect the two. i’m also using the cable that came with the rode mic. when i switch out the mic and use my shure SM58 (using the same cable and interface), everything works perfectly. how do i get the rode mic to work properly??

This feels like a shot in the dark, but I’m desperate. I have been taking Ritalin 30mg LA and I’ve developed a terrible gag reflex. I am almost constantly fighting off a gag. Then I can’t hold it in anymore and gag until I vomit, but no nausea. I take it about 4 times a week and have since mid December but really noticed an uptick in gagging in the last 3ish weeks, and it’s getting worse. On days I don’t take it, I don’t have the gag reflex, so I’m pretty sure it’s the meds. I asked my Dr what to do and if we should switch the med but he said to wait for it to go away, which is kind of hard to do when I’m over a trash can throwing up minutes before I have to go to class because I’m gagging so hard. He is not the most helpful Dr and kinda made me feel like shit for starting Ritalin in the first place. It does wonders for my ADHD but it’s fucking me up. Do I just wait like my Dr said for my body to get used to it, maybe start taking it everyday? I’m lost.
