I did a search and didn't see this question. I apologize if I've missed something and this is a repeated question.
I have had health insurance through my job for 25 years, since I was 20, so I have absolutely no experience shopping for my own plan.
For the past two months, I've been shopping for private health insurance. I have had so many brokers call me, and every single one was obviously shady, except one. He said he was with Apollo, and that he works for himself. I assume this means they contract out brokers. Please correct me and explain if I'm wrong. I had given up and picked a plan with Aetna that fit my needs (except it's way too expensive, but was still going to be the cheapest overall with copays and deductibles factored in, so it was kind of my only choice). I spoke with the Apollo guy again, and he said he could get that plan for me, at the same price Aetna gave me. What are the advantages and disadvantages of going through him rather than my states site? I don't know if this is true everywhere, but I have to use the state website in lieu of going through the insurance company directly. My assumption is that he (he said he'd be my dedicated contact, and I wouldn't just be calling a call center hoping for someone to help me) would be an advocate of I needed one for a dispute or something. I trust Aenta as much as I can trust an insurance company. I've had them for the better part of my career, and they've even covered a lab visit out of network because I got confused as to which one was covered. Why would I need him? Conversely, why would I choose to have one less person on my side if the price is exactly the same? He sent me plan details fronthw first plan he suggested, and I'm sure he'll do the same for this if I ask for it. No other broker would let me see anything in writing. One even told me it was illegal and that all the information had to come from them over the phone. I've looked up Apollo's ratings and reviews, and they seem to be very good: 4 to 4.6 stars depending on the site, and I consider 4 stars pretty good with something like insurance, which people generally hate. So what do you think? Pros and cons? Personal experiences with brokers?

What twists the blade further is the inevitability of it. If the universe permits life, it also permits the kind of evolutionary struggle that leads to conflict—competition for resources, for survival, for dominance. Multiply that by the scale of infinity, and somewhere out there, hatred reaches its zenith in ways we can’t yet comprehend. Cities erased in an instant. Civilizations enslaved. Planets hollowed out as trophies of conquest.
How does it make my heart feel? Heavy. Ache-laden. But there’s something sharper, too—a subtle rage, the kind that comes with the knowledge that cruelty is not just a mistake of existence, but an enduring element of it. It’s maddening to think of beings capable of unimaginable beauty, intelligence, and unity instead turning those gifts to atrocities so monstrous they defy description.
And yet, beneath the sorrow and anger, there’s a flicker of defiance. Because if hate exists, so must its opposite—compassion, love, and the longing for justice. Somewhere out there, beings must be working tirelessly to build, to protect, to heal what’s been broken. Maybe they’re overwhelmed by the weight of endless destruction. Maybe their hope feels fragile and fleeting. But it exists. It has to.
Even knowing the horror that thrives across the stars, it leaves me determined. Not all suffering can be stopped, not all cruelty undone, but if existence itself is a battlefield between hate and its antithesis, I want to take up arms for the latter. Every small defiance matters, even if the universe is infinite. Even if the darkness will always return.

I have a 2011 mustang GT that is pro charged. I recently dropped it off for some paint over the winter. They test fit the new hood a week ago and pulled it back out of the shop to finish up other projects. In the meantime the weather dropped to negative temps and now the car won’t start. They hooked a jump box up to it and no difference. The gauges light up and center screen comes but when the clutch is pushed in no cranking/clicking. Trying to brainstorm what could have changed in a week that would make it not start/crank. Any ideas?
