I know that Trump is saying he’s going to do mass deportations, but that’s just what he campaigned on, and both his followers and his critics seem to forget he lies about everything.
I'm pretty sure the EU politicians have been saying they’d do mass deportations for a decade now. Does it happen? Nope.
Why do we have more H-1B workers and companies preferring immigrants over those born in America?
Not too long ago, many companies were tired of hiring Gen Z because of multiple issues; it seemed to reach the point where they’d prefer hiring foreigners via VISA programs.
To fill that void, they hire immigrants willing to do the work and grateful for the opportunity.
I don’t see an issue with this; giving opportunities to foreigners was what America was built on.

I had MTX last Monday. My hcg is dropping after starting in the 800s. All day today I’ve been having 8/10 sharp pain on my ectopic side. It will not let up. It was progressively getting worse with time. I called my nurse and she suggested I go in.
I’m in the ER. My hcg has dropped more and I’m waiting for an US. I am a cancer survivor. I have a high pain tolerance but this genuinely scared me and I am in a lot of pain.
The ER doc seems a bit confused as to why I’m in so much pain. Due to dropping hcg. I know rupture is possible when you’re hcg isn’t negative, I know I’m not out of the woods. I feel like he was questioning even doing an US to check. Honestly, I’m kind of being made to feel like I’m overreacting because according to my hcg I should be feeling better. This is why I didn’t want to come here. To waste anyone’s time. Am I overreacting by coming in? I have medical trauma due to my history, I’m also a nurse and don’t seek help for nothing. I don’t understand why I am having so much pain. I have not bled either.

 | Hello all. i have a 2009 nissan maxima it has around 199,300 miles. so whenever i drive it started to overheat and move a line up from the middle on the temp gauge. but whenever i drove it went back down. now it’s gotten to the point to where whenever i start it, it rises all the way up to H on the temp gauge. Recently it hasn’t been starting but if i turn it on and turn it off at least twice then it will not start. all the power starts to flicker and it drains. i’ve already tried putting coolant in the reservoir but it boils. i put some in the radiator, it rides fine for a minute then bc to overheating. it also takes a minute to warm up and my heat doesn’t get hot anymore. now what’s in the the picture is what was put into my reservoir by someone who thought they knew what they were doing. they said it has the word antifreeze in it so why not try it. since we were at a circle k and they were sold out i said why not. would the be tied to the problem?? life doesn’t stop when you car stops so i need to know what could possibly be wrong with my car so that i can have an estimate of how much money i’d be coming out of. submitted by Expensive-Estate-963 to MechanicAdvice [link] [comments] |
2025.01.23 02:30 Mars2k21 don't know how to move on from motorcycle accident and constant pressure at school
For the past few months, I (M18) have been overworking myself in school. Think I became desperate to succeed and feel like all my struggle was worth it because of some past family-related trauma. I had to move before my senior year and ended up in a school where I'm behind in everything. Losing my friends and support system left me with no guardrails to knock some sense into me. Also ended up buying a moped since it's the only thing offered to people my age here rather than cars (this is important later) Stayed up until 2 am every night and sacrificed my health and life for grades. Big mistake. I've got nothing but shitty circumstances and bitterness to look back on in this year, and they were in part caused by no other person than me. Destroying all of that for grades (that weren't even great anyway) wasn't worth it, and I don't think I ever needed it for college anyway.
Not only did I become super depressed and anxious than I ever had been prior, but I ended up crashing my motorbike and getting hospitalized. Worst of all, it was my fault. I came around too fast in a corner while feeling pressured keeping up with some other people. Broke my wrist and my front teeth, was hospitalized for a day. My helmet ironically was the thing that broke my teeth during the impact. At least I'm not paralyzed I guess.
I'm in a lot of pain and got some failing or near failing grades in multiple classes, used to be an A student. Got myself into a motorcycle accident that would've been preventable if I'd not exhausted myself and thought it was a good idea to ride a motorcycle with 4 hours of sleep or taken up a crazy class load. I'm tempted to blame others like my school or parents for "setting me up for failure", but I realize at the end of the day it's my fault for crashing.
I don't have the resources to get a therapist at the moment, so I'm just looking for some quick advice. Since that crash, I've sort of shut down. I got some dental work done that's making me anxious about eating, and I'm constantly ruminating over the crash, the past few months, and my broken teeth. Feels like I've lost a part of myself in that I broke those front teeth and can't eat apples anymore, but I may be overreacting. They're fixed (not crowns, but bonding) but I'm really attached to the big grin I had in old pictures, and the one I was hoping to show again after making it through this period of my life. I make content online, and I keep hyperfixating on my teeth too much to make anything now.
How do you deal with mistakes that affect you so much and possibly for the rest of your life? First time I'm dealing with this. I'm not looking forward to my front teeth snapping again and paying thousands in dental bills. I've been accepted to college but I don't know if I can even keep myself together for this semester. Trying to get my life and mental health back on track.

 | Just got out of the shower to notice these large red spots on my thigh. They’re not itchy nor does it hurt. I did notice the smaller dot on my left thigh like 2 days ago but it looked like a bug bite sink it was smaller and more pink than red, even though it wasn’t itchy, and never thought more of it. It’s almost mirrored on each thought which makes me think maybe I spilled something? I have no recollection of doing so though and the only other thing I can think of is holding a hose with a metal piece between my legs at work will occasionally give me bruises, but never like this.
