For those of you with pets (dog/cat/rabbit?) do you save up for your furbabies’ medical bills? How much did you spend across their life for vet/medicine/surgeries etc?
I’m thinking of adopting and bit worried about medical expenses. I know can get quite expensive especially for breed conditions or older pets so want to make sure. Is maybe pet insurance worth it, it looks quite pricey?

I was in the troubled teen industry for 2 years and I have been out for over 6 months. I have a lot of guilt that I am out but so many kids I met aren’t. I am healing from c PTSD and as part of that I want to do more to speak out about this issue. Any suggestions are appreciated! Also, if you went to Westchester Medical Center, Four Winds, Shepherd Pratt, The Heritage Community, or Huntsman CAT program please share your experiences.

This is more of a vent than anything else.
Nothing new! The VA system has made it very difficult for any veterans to pursue the benefits that they deserve.
I personally served 13 years with 3 combat tours. After I got out, I spent 3 years fighting the VA for disability and it was a complete nightmare. Glad I got my injuries approved the end but it was a lot harder than I expected.
I later decided to pursue VR&E, to help with my adjustment with my disability. This also ended up being another uphill battle! It took 2 years to finally get approved. A program that is meant to help veterans is finding reasons to not help?
I get that these benefit should be thorough evaluate the veterans but holy shit, veterans can’t get shit without fighting for what they deserve! It took me 5 years to get exercise my disability and education benefits.
VA needs to do better! It’s complete BS to make me and other veterans fight for everything single benefit!
