Hello all! I'm Kristaps Andrejsons from Riga, Latvia. I make a podcast called The Eastern Border and ocasionally explain post-soviet realities for Foreign Policy Magazine. During this war, I've been to the front four times now, and planning the fifth. I've also lost 22 people I knew personally, survived a poisoning a car bomb and have been blacklisted in Russia. Obviously, I'm also dealing with a shitton of PTSD.
Posting here, because my therapist recommended me to arrange a lecture/conference for history students, as, well...I have a master's degree in history and I also literally know how a lot of the really horrible stuff that historians read about feels like. The smell of burnt human flesh inside a destroyed tank probably won't leave my brain ever again. But as I don't know how to quantify any academical value of that, but it definitely does expand the perspective about various historical events, I thought maybe it could be interesting for the audience of this show. (As I was told to contact You guys by a listener of mine.) so I'm looking for some contact info of the hosts, so that I could drop them an email with my offer for an interview or something. Could be a fun episode for you, some improvement for my PTSD for me.

Also, a bit about me because it might be relevant. I'm 35, and was born in the USSR. My show that I've been doing for over 10 years now started with explaining the life in the Soviet union to westerners, as I had collcted a ton of stories about serving in the army, kolhozs and the like during my stufies. Posted them on the old Hardcore History forums, then Dan himself told me to do a podcast. He's been a guest a few times too. This is how I accidentally became the first podcast ever in Latvia and possibly the Baltics in general.
The way I do my show about the war right now, while not yet back out there is that I use Russian pro-war posts, as when those guys talk about any issues of their situation, they're not exaggerating and you can be sure that the problem is real. I also sit in a bunch of Regional news channels and talk about the more revealing news and, of course, translate and explain Putin's internal propaganda vs. what he wants to portray to the west. Also, I post the stuff that doesn't go in my episodes on BlueSky (@theeasternborder.lv). I got banned from Twitter because Michael Tracy sent a bunch of trolls to harass and report me.

Hey guys, me and my gf were having sex last night when I felt the condom break, I pulled out and was able to finish, im 100% no cum got inside of her (other than precum). Her period ended the day before, 7 days after it started. She typically has long cycles, around 30 days. So, i'd assume our chances are low due to her not ovulating till late next week. On top of our low chance already, I had her take a plan b 20 minutes after cause we both worry a lot lol. I know i've done everything right, and theres nothing more I can do. I suffer from anxiety and still feel worried about these kind of things. If you guys know any statistics that would ease my mind please help me out here, I cant stop thinking abt it.

I had chatGPT explain the feat to her but then chatGPT said that some of it is luck and now she just keeps calling me an autist with luck.

 | I have an ipad, procreate, procreate dreams, a script and an actual dream lol Im not looking to get famous this is just something I want to do to see where it takes me but after writing the script and drawing my little character Ive realised I dont know what next. How do I turn my script into my animation. Do I record the voice lines and draw keyframes in procreate, transmit them to procreate dreams and go from there? Do I animate first and record the voice over second? Im not even really an animator! I made my character look like a stick figure because its the best I can do but even that is hard to animate I wont lie. Im so lost. I bought all the equiptment and dont know where to start. What they describe as Twin Flames is a real phenomena that exists. It is crazy because there's many ways to fall In love and it not be a twin flame. Ive been infatuated plenty of times, that lasted years but when it was the twin flame it was different because of the way things would play out. I met him in a church & it was both our first time going that year. I got the impression it was just God's way of killing two birds with one stone before I even had any idea was what a twin flame was.

[...] Over the course of six weeks, Joel and his fellow participants engaged in a tailored training program, honing their observational imagery skills by studying game footage and predicting outcomes. They immersed themselves in multisensory simulations, engaging their kinesthetic sense through physical mimicry and refining their emotional imagery through relaxation and refocus techniques.Progress was gradual, but as the weeks passed, something remarkable began to take shape. While not all participants experienced improvements in visual imagery, the study demonstrated that with targeted training, even individuals who initially reported experiencing aphantasia could enhance their imagery proficiency in other sensory modalities, such as imagining emotional regulation or movement, such as during skill execution.
