Engines are getting smaller in displacement because of complex emissions and mpg laws, often at the sacrifice of pure performance. But could we have the best of both worlds?
Suppose there is an I4 and V8 of the same displacement, let’s say 2.0L, for easy math.
The cylinders would be smaller in area and volume on the V8, as each cylinder would be .25L whereas the I4 would cylinder would be .5L.
We would get the torque of the V8, in the displacement of an I4, at lower RPM.
Would this solve the emissions, mpg, and displacement dilemma? Or is there something about smaller displacement that I am missing V8?

Hi guys, I’m a licensed store partner in the UK. If possible, can someone from Equity please forward me some policies you have handy?
My franchise doesn’t understand that we have to follow Starbucks’ policies and they like to bring in their own and someone like me who follows Starbucks has to argue and look like a fool to other staff members when my manager just says do what he says.
I’m an aspiring coffee master and the issue I have today is that we do not have Starbucks approved ice; we are using huge cubes from weatherspoons. Now, as a ‘partner’ (we aren’t partners here bc we don’t get treated like partners), I like to make drinks correct and follow things by the book. These big ice cubes don’t make the drinks look appealing, we can’t put lids on sometimes due to size and we sometimes have to double blend for frappuccinos, Caramel sauce doesn’t form the pattern when put on top of CMs, lids for shaken refreshas/espressos come off whilst shaking in shaker due to the weight of the ice itself and the rest….
TLDR: Anyone got SBUX official policies regarding what ice to use, and any other policies I could please use to forward to this franchise that I work for.
I’m constantly in battle with my manager and higher ups because they just want to go by their franchise policies, when we need to stick to brand.

40M Recently had bloodwork done and came back at 530 total and 14.2 free. Total is up from previous year’s reading of 448 but free is down from a year ago when I was 68.5.
Bloodwork indicates I am in the right range but I am experiencing all of the noted symptoms, decreased libido and energy, brain fog and especially anxiety. My PCP sees nothing wrong with my numbers but I’m curious if a clinic would have the same feelings as my PCP or offer treatment.
