2025.01.23 13:27 Mizzy3030 Questions about recovering from dislocated elbow
45, female, 5'3, 125lbs, no health conditions.
About a week ago I fell and dislocated my elbow. After it got reset in the ER it proceeded to dislocate again almost immediately. At that point, I was put in a hard splint and a sling and sent home. The splint wasn't very tight, and my elbow dislocationagain the second I got home (3rd time).
I went back to the ER, was reduced and wrapped more securely and have been fine since then.
Yesterday, I went in for my one week follow-up. I was still significantly swollen, so the doctor redid the splint, this time making sure it goes all the way up to my armpit (before, it ended right above my elbow bend).
Since yesterday, I've had strange sensation in my fingers (like they feel swollen) and pain when I try to twist my forearm. Also, when I was sleeping, I kept waking up to my fingers being totally asleep. Is this normal?
Finally, is is safe me to walk on the treadmill for some exercise? I can't stand not being able to work out.

So my fiancé really wants to get a dog & I said we can a few months after our baby is born(since I’m pregnant right now). & he really wants a pit bull,& usually I would have no problem since I do like them,I know someone with a pit bull & his pit bull is the sweetest dog ever. But I heard that since they they’re not the best with kids(meaning they tend to attack kids).& I have 2 kids,ages 14 & 4,& I’m about to have another baby,so I’m afraid that it might end up attacking one of my kids.
But are your pit bulls good with kids?

Hello everyone! An OEC (Overseas Employment Certificate) is usually required for directly hired Pinoys by foreign companies. Sadly, the process is quite lengthy and long that you will sometimes lose the opportunity because of it.
So what I was thinking was to continue to go overseas for a "business trip". I have documents that I have a consulting business.
My problem is my spouse (self employed and business had to close) is coming along to live with me in New country. We don't want to buy a return ticket since we might stay for a couple of months, hence the "business trip".

When i played LoL, i played 10 hours a day and in the shower i would build the best items in my head, when i played WoW, i spent hours thinking about my transmog and couldn't sleep at night until i had arranged the 'perfect' one. I went from addiction to addiction, for example caffeine - i knew all about it, i drank way more than i needed and even bought caffeine capsules. When i give up and manage to get out of one addiction, i fall into another; i quit caffeine, i fall into nicotine, i quit nicotine - i fall into fast food. I'm currently hyperfixated on certain psychoactive substances and trying to get out of them, so I'm wondering if I'm going to come full circle and get addicted to WoW again(healthier one lol), to fill the void and dopamine craving with ANYTHING tbh. As an intp, or an intp around you, have you noticed their tendency towards addictions?

From yellow school and last night, our prof uttered derogatory remarks about students who are allegedly "professor shopping."
I am aware that our school chooses the professors for us, depending on the schedule and the availability etc. That's how it has always been even in our undergrad. We really have no control with who our professors are gonna be for the semester. I already made peace with that.
But also, I did not like how "professor shopping" is being perceived negatively in this school, especially knowing that not all professors are the same. They have different teaching styles and approaches, perceptions, etc. I mean... not all are great teachers.
Plus, I don't like how they just dismiss working students trying to fix their schedules as "professor shopping."
"Professor shopping" is merely choosing the appropriate professor and schedule. I mean, sige kung sasabihin man lang na "professor shopping," what's wrong with that? Nagbayad naman ako ng tuition eh hahaha chz.
