2025.01.23 17:37 RiKToR21 Weird DLSS Implementation with Rebirth PC
So I am extremely confused on the DLSS implementation with Rebirth. Watching the YouTube prerelease plays and reviews yesterday I saw the DLSS was a toggle for Anti Aliasing, but there were no controls for which mode it operates in. There is the Dynamic Resolution setting but as DLSS doesn't dynamically change I think that's the in engine DR that was in the PS5 release.
Also, there are weird controls on resolution. My system defaulted to 1080p and it was greyed out. I have a 1440p ultrawide, I could toggle it to windowed mode which would let me change the resolution but greys back out after I switch back to full screen. Now I have 7900x and a 4080, but the game defaulted me to 1080p medium settings.
So I guess my question is what is the DLSS toggle actually doing? Is the resolution setting potentially impacting the level of DLSS and then Fullscreen is using the upscaling? But that wouldn't make sense for DLSS if you switched to 4k. Watching BltzZ yesterday, he tried 1440p in windowed mode and got 100 fps in Neibelheim but when he went full screen he would lose 10 fps. Something is very strange here.

Hi Everyone, I'm looking to purchase a new mini pc, that will have Ubuntu on it and serve as a media center (Channels DVR and Plex/Jellyfin) and I will run likely between 10 - 15 containers. I may also have a couple of VMs.
I've been researching for days and scouring this sub, as it's been a while since I've used anything except a R-PI.
Long story short, there are 3 models I looking at, and would like some advice on which one of these I should pick.
All of these machines have 32GB Ram and 1TB SSD, but the difference is the proc.
I can choose from the following:

She responded with, "glad you understood, and anyway, bye." That was the last straw for me. Some friends suggested that her behavior might be due to mood swings, especially since it was her first time and she could be experiencing typical hormonal changes. They think I might hear from her again in the future, but her sudden change in attitude really threw me off.
