2025.01.23 18:50 ZombieTheRogue God forbid anyone enjoys actually doing Pvp in a Pvp battleground
The amount of times I've had to /ignore a raid leader or fight an entire army of alliance by myself trying to back cap is insanity to me. Do people realize rushing for the boss is awful honor anyway? Why are you even ranking if you don't want to do pvp?
The worst part of alterac valley right now is that it is genuinely such a fun battleground if people just...did the battleground as it was intended.
And the worst part is people just report other players for being "afk" when they are defending their own towers. Like if you aren't with the group of zoomers running north you are a leech. People just seem to have the Inability to think. It's very frustrating. I enjoy actually doing pvp not killing a boss in 10 minutes.
I hope it gets better after people hit rank 11.

I set up three syncs yesterday and they were all visible in the desktop client sync list. Today, only one is visible, but syncing is still working. I logged out/restarted but that didn't bring them back to the list. Any ideas?

ive played rdr2 and COTW: The Angler for a while now and i can confidently say, RDR2 has better fishing mechanics than COTW.
Sure COTW has real life fishing techniques but RDR2 has you reel in by your right stick (im on xbox) and COTW has you reel in by a button.
Also fish are easier to catch and you can find them visually instead of going to a lake or river and praying you catch one, this is why I love RDR2 and Rockstar, they just pay attention to little details like that and they care about their games.
Oh and Arthur and John's reaction to catching a fish are funny (example: "you sir, are a fish.")

My opinions on Bronwyn have gone back and forth with the season, but admittedly, I’ve mostly like her other than the Lisa groveling. It seems like Heather truly can’t believe that Bronwyn actually cares to be a good person and not offend people and learn from her missteps and be an example to her daughter… almost like she doesn’t care to be kind/PC/remorseful/etc when the cameras aren’t there🤔 It just came off so petty and bitter… Lisa is rubbing off on her in the worst ways!!🤮

the vacuum arrived today after 1.5 months of waiting, I was about to get it ready for sale when I took it out of the shipping box, dyson sent us the wrong vacuum and not in a good way. the sent us a lower model that doesnt have a HEPA filter.
how do I react at this point? because I want to scream and my money back. I refuse to wait another 15 business days for them to send another one

My sister is coming to the end of a 12 month probationary period at a small family run business. She's not been performing particularly well and has found the job difficult. She's recently been diagnosed with bad dyslexia and it's obvious this has been playing a huge role in making the job difficult.
Last week she received notice to attend a formal HR meeting and it seemed obvious they'd be dismissing her. Ahead of this she submitted her dyslexia diagnosis to make HR aware of her condition. Thinking they'd have to make reasonable accommodations and maybe she could salvage things.
Mistakes in her work were brought up and questions about an 11th hour diagnosis were raised but ultimately didn't seem to go anywhere. Then towards the end of the meeting an accusation of racism was levelled against her. The mother of the company owner had made a complaint that she'd spoken a racist insult to her as rebuke to a joke the mother claims to have made when they were in work last week and she was told this was being investigated.
It seems to us they intended to dismiss her. The formal dyslexia diagnosis and making HR aware of it seems to have put a spoke in that plan and they've quickly fabricated an accusation of racism.
This is completely fabricated. My sister has never said more than Hello to this woman in passing.
She's asked for details of when the complaint was made and if there were witnesses. They've disclosed the complaint was made on a date after the disclosure of the dyslexia diagnosis, after the notice for the meeting and witness statements were taken from other family members that work at the business to confirm the incident happened as per the mother's complaint - but not until the day after the meeting.
My sister is now afraid to return to work knowing that the family are willing to conspire and fabricate allegations to contrive her dismissal. Because conceivably what could be next? Allegations of sexual assault or theft? HR also appear complicit.
What recourse does she have? Seems difficult to prove anything to the counter. If she just leaves they get away with it.

A friend of mine test this: same wifi, without VPN, can access reddit. without VPN, cannot access reddit.
I have predicted the reddit block here 9 months ago: Vuong N Pham: a lot of people attacking Vinfast in the last two weeks. He must be very scared : VinFastComm "I think Vuong Pham might use money to bribe the Vietnamese government to block reddit because of me. It is a real possibility. When that happens, readers should report the story here. Vietnamese gov has blocked many international websites in Vietnam, BBC and VOA are prime examples. You can use proxy and VPN to bypass the firewall though."
Now Vietnamese politic dissidents have been on reddit for years. But the site did not get blocked in Vietnam before.
Of course, there is no way to prove Vuong Pham is the one to force the Vietnamese authority of blocking reddit, but he gets the most damage from reddit when the truth about him, his financial tricks, and his buggy cars are revealed here, and he has the money and power to make the censoring happens. So, I can freely to pin the hypothesis on him. You might not agree with me and that is fine. But follow the money, find who benefit the most, as the old adage says. Often, very often, that leads to the truth hidden by the tyrant.
As far as I know, this sub is the most active site to report the truth on Vin and Vuong Pham more than any other sites. And when normal people see the truth, with data and logic, they will be see through Vin and Vuong Pham's tricks. And that is why Vuong Pham is scared. He even mentioned us in the general meeting 9 months ago.
So if you can still read reddit and this sub, good for you. Translate and share the content back. Spread the truth to fight the shady Vuong Pham.

So I’m working from home this week because my car is in the shop. While working from home, I get a call from an angry user that demands I help their new employee get in their new laptop NOW. I explain my situation and ask if I can do it remotely, to which they refuse and insist they need someone in person. I check in with my coworkers to see if anyone else is available to go on site and they’re not. I relay this to the customer and ask again if I can do it remotely. They are frustrated which i understand, but the issue isn’t hard and I am 99% sure I can do it over the phone. Despite saying this and being polite this user gives attitude and acts helpless.
Me: so, is the computer imaged?
Manager: I don’t know!!1
Me: if you power it up, will it bring you to the sign on screen?
Manager: we haven’t checked yet >:(
Me: …okay…can you power it up and check now?
Manager: ugh. (Manager powers up laptop) okay, it just shows the time.
Me: okay…can you click past that..? Should just be windows sign in screen.
Manager: okay, yeah I see it.
Me: okay, perfect. Can you plug in the Ethernet to the laptop? The green cables we use?
Manager: there’s none available!!1
Me: okay, well, can we use the one in your office that you’re using?
Manager: ugh. Fine. >:(
(We proceed to unplug the Ethernet cable from the managers docking station and plug it directly into the new employees laptop. After this is done, it takes less than five minutes for me to remote in, help user change password, and sign her into her email. Because windows now has our organizations password cached for the new employee, she can now access our WiFi and doesn’t need Ethernet).
Me: awesome. Looks like we got new employee in. Anything else?
Manager: yeah, she needs her docking station and monitors set up.
Me: oh, cool. That’s easy. First, let’s start with the docking station. Can you plug in the power chord to a wall outlet?
Manager: we’re in my office though. I don’t have any available.
Me: okay…can you go to hers?
Manager: ugh. yeah.
(In new employees office)
Me: were you able to plug in the power chord?
Manager: no! >:( the wall outlet is stuck behind a desk!
Me: …can you move it…?
Manager: UGH >:( (moves desk). It’s done.
Me: thank you. Now plug in the power chord.
Manager: I don’t know what that is.
Me:… you don’t know which one the power chord is? It’s the cable with the ends that look like you can plug it into the outlet…?
Manager: oh. (She plugs it into the outlet.) done
Me: excellent. Now plug in the other end to the docking station- the black box you have, and then when you’re done, plug in the cables coming from the black box into the laptop.
Manager: there’s no where to plug it into the laptop!!
Me: are you sure? You’re not mistaking it for the one that goes in back of the docking station right?
Manager: NO! I know what you’re asking! And this laptop doesn’t have a place to plug in the docking station.
Me: that can’t be true because every laptop (Organization) purchases has USB C ports..
At this point the Manger is fed up with me. She hands the phone to new employee, and I can hear her grumbling to her colleague in the background “-I can’t find it but apparently the IT guy says all our computers have it so I guess im wrong!! >:(“
New employee: hi
Me: okay, I need you to plug in the docking station to the laptop. It will be a thin connection with rounded ends.
NE: ….uhm. Okay.
Me: okay. Do you see the light come on?
NE: yes.
Me: perfect. I see your computer is charging now too. Excellent. Now, plug in the power cable of one of the monitors.
NE: there’s no room left in the outlets.
Me: oh. Do you guys have an extension chord?
NE: uh….let me check. (A minute goes by) no we don’t.
Me: okay, well unfortunately then you’ll have to be without your external monitors until you get an extension chord or I can bring one to you.
Manager gets put back on the phone: this is unacceptable I put this ticket in days ago and no one’s helped me and I can’t have her not being able to work.
Me: I don’t understand how she’s not able to work…she’s signed in and has her email and power chord.
Another employee takes the phone: I found an extension chord. I’m going to help them finish setting up. Thank you for your assistance we’ll call you if we need anything else.
Me: no worries. Sorry again I can’t be there. (Relieved I don’t have to be on the call anymore).
