never thought i’d be that person but singapore too small lah. didn’t even have to hear it—people just started sending me links like “yo… is this about you??” one day you’re sharing teh peng, next thing you’re a lyric.
honestly? fair game. we write about the things that stick, and i guess i stuck. but it’s funny how people say one thing and do another. like, you can write a whole song but couldn’t say it to my face? interesting.
not gonna lie, i wasn’t sure if i wanted to listen. cos once you hear it, you can’t unhear it, right? it’s like walking past your old haunt and suddenly remembering a version of yourself you thought you’d outgrown. but curiosity won. sat there, headphones in, trying to figure out if i should laugh, cry, or just move on with my day.
and you know what? i’ll give them credit. it’s a good song. maybe even a little too good. the kind that makes you feel something even if you don’t want to. and i guess that’s the thing about music—it lets you say the things you never had the guts to in real life.
anyway, if y’all wanna check it out, it’s called ‘aftercare’... go have a listen and let me know if i should be flattered or filing for emotional damages lol.

Hello guys,
since August of last year I feel into my heaviest smoking habit.
In the beginning of last year I was persitent with persuing my goal of getting clean once and for all.
Then came August and one thing pushed me out of the way and back into my old habit of smoking weed. Don't want to go deeper into it and it's not necessary for this post.
Eitherwise time flew by and here I am 6 months later. It went by like in trance.
I am currently feeling like shit. Disconnected from anything that happens in real life. Completely in a bubble.
If I refelect the current state of my life and look into my room, it's a mess. My room is full of rubbish, the clothes lay all over the floor. Private matters and relations are the same mess.
On the otherhand is my job where I am at an all time high. I went from apprantice to now project leader within years, make good money and am constantly thrilled for working. I have fun there and I love it.
It's like private and work life are the complete opposite.
I have an inner fear growing of it all collapsing because those two sides are so far from each other.
Within the last days this is growing so much that I decided I quit again today.
I can do it. I quit 6 months last year so this time I am gonna get it.
Going to bed in a few hours I will flush the rest my weed down the toilet.
Looking back on what made me push through the last year were two key things:
- reading and writing posts on reddit
- seeing a therapist
First is done here by. For the second I will get an appointment scheduled tomorrow.
Thank you so much if you read this. Writing made things a bit better for me and hopefully helps the strenght of this decision.
So here I am again. I am going to have a few really sweaty nights.
It will be worth it.

2025.01.23 19:01 TwinHaelix Anyone have VRR working on 2024 LG Gram Pro 16?

I have the 2024 LG Gram Pro 16, with the Intel i7 155H, and without a dedicated Nvidia GPU onboard. The screen is the 2880x1800 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate connected via eDP, and the hardware ID of the display is SDC41A5. I am running Windows 11 Pro 24H2, and I have Intel Graphics Driver 32.0.101.6458 installed (which I downloaded from the Intel website after deleting all older versions of the drivers with DDU).
My problem is that Windows and the Intel Graphics Software both report that my display is VRR-capable, and I have enabled the feature everywhere I can find, but I still experience significant stuttering during games as though VRR is not working.
I am using Nixola's VRRTest utility to verify the stuttering, although I experience the stuttering in every game I try, as well as when using Moonlight to stream from another PC.
Does anyone else have this model, who can test if VRR works for them? I would recommend using VRRTest to check for yourself -- by default, it starts the test at 5 FPS below your screen's refresh rate, which should look stutter-free and tear-free if VRR is working properly. Mine stutters like crazy unless I use the up-arrow to set the FPS to 120, where it's smooth because it matches the refresh rate of 120Hz.
