2025.01.23 21:00 k3tchup0 Witcher NPC dialogue
Jumped back into witcher 3 recently and was just remembering how funny all the rando npc lines are.
i.e. "Maybe, maybe not, maybe go fuck yourself." "In life you gotta take risks and not get fucked." "Fucking hate whores." "You'll choke to death on three pounds of steel." "You'd look fucking amazing! On top of me..."
So reddit, I gotta know. What are the best npc lines you've heard from this game?

2025.01.23 21:00 prettypiscezzz bettering my math skills as an adult
Despite always failing miserably in math courses I actually find the subject fun when I know how to solve the problems. Recently I’ve decided I want to reteach myself from the ground up and have started way back at pre-algebra to really hone in on the foundations, but I find now that my main trouble is I have never grasped the concepts. I’ve been fine when the problem’s easily laid out for me, but when it comes to applying concepts I’m lost and forget everything.
I know repetition is key to learning but I’m more stuck on the how of getting myself to understand the concepts. Like for example, identifying a simple fraction problem and what steps I take is difficult because I have trouble discerning what type of fraction problem it is and the necessary formula I need to implement. All fraction problems wind up looking the same to me and all I can remember is I have to solve it, but not HOW to solve it.
I was just curious if anyone here has tips for me that can help me keep a better grasp on different concepts and when to apply them aside from repetition. I know of popular resources like khan academy but I used that throughout MS, HS, and UNI to help me understand and I still don’t get it.

2025.01.23 21:00 _Korecitten Are JA bronze charms just plated?
So my question is about my James Avery globe charm. The globe stand is supposed to be solid silver and the earth all bronze. In the first pic shows the half of the globe that has lost its bronzy color. 2nd pic shows other half of the globe that still has its bronze color. 3rd pic is the JA listing pic for the globe charm and mine looks nothing like that. The monarch charm and chain are both new and less than 1yr old and the bronze on them seems just fine. Can bronze be plated over silver? My globe has NEVER been worn and has been in its flannel pouch that came with it. I just got it out to put on my new charm necklace and that's when I noticed it losing its bronze color. Also the finish on the silvery side is more smooth and the bronze side is more pitted and textured like the charm is in the last pic. Any insight would be appreciated! submitted by _Korecitten to JamesAveryCharms [link] [comments] |

2025.01.23 21:00 dmmeifyouwantto I want to have an affair. Hear me out…
So I need advice on something here. I have always been a sober personality. Not very loud and been lowkey. I found my current girlfriend in college and been together for 5 years now, she is almost a fiancée at this point.
But the thing is, I have opened up my personality lately in the last 1 year and I feel I can have a lot of fun with other people (not sex but in general like flirting, dancing around etc etc) and my girlfriend is always not in for it.
Which makes me think, do I want to do an affair or not. Or am I the asshole who wants to purposely find ways to cheat here?
Serious advice needed here…

2025.01.23 21:00 Famous-Island1317 Cinnamon raisin PB&J with a twist
My favorite food lately is a this concoction of cinnamon raisin toast meets PB&J with cream cheese…. But not just cream cheese a little layer of regular cream cheese and then a layer of cinnamon and brown sugar cream cheese. You add that extra piece of cinnamon toast to your toasted cinnamon raisin PB&J, and it’s golden!

2025.01.23 21:00 AntiherO_0 For those who’ve had an interview after a cold email, how does it usually go?
So a couple hours ago a prof answered to me after a cold email asking for a summer position in their lab, and the prof told me they wanted to talk to me about it. I’ve never had an interview before whatsoever so I’m not sure how that usually goes lol. What do you usually talk about? How long does it usually last? And more importantly, what to prepare? Most obvious thing to me is knowing what the research is on, and regarding that I have some insights but I guess I need to prepare more about what it exactly is. Also I haven’t mentioned it yet but it’s in the life sciences stream.
If you have some insights about it I’ll be happy to hear about them!

2025.01.23 21:00 Next_Astronomer4484 Tips for unpacking after returning home for the day
One thing I have noticed about myself is I'm very bad at unpacking my purse/bag/suitcase after I return home from where I've been out. This could be coming home from work with my purse and work bag and lunch bag and then putting them down - I usually take out the dirty tupperware etc and bring to the sink, but then everything else in those bags (ie makeup bag, spare sweater I brought, work notes, extra pairs of shoes) tend to be forgotten in those bags and left til I need them next.
I also will visit my significant other (we don't live together yet, early days) and often have a travel bag I bring when I stay over night there. I will go stay several times a week. I never really am motivated to unpack though when I get home.
I have a small place and it often just feels like I'm surrounded by bags of my stuff on my table/dresseetc and feels like I'm failing as an adult sometimes. Any tips or tricks you can share?
