Have a 2001 Toyota 4Runner with the OEM double DIN, and wanting to upgrade this to a standalone unit that has both GPS and solid local music storage processing capabilities.
To be clear -- I want the setup to be 100% independent of my phone. No Carplay, no Android Auto, no Spotify, nothing.
I have a large FLAC collection that I've re-'ripped' using the flac2mp3 utility to 320K MP3s -- note that I do not use id3tags for organisation, it's pure file directory organised:
Artist --> Album --> Song.mp3
with something like 1k artists, 10k albums, and 100k songs, roughly.
The Atoto unit that I bought 5 years ago for my other vehicle is a nice unit, but I can't choose the SDXC card and then just see the first artists beginning with 'A', and then scroll to see more -- it seems to try to load/cache the entire library every time, and I get the sense either the head unit or the SDXC card (a fast one!) can't handle the number of folders/files in my collection.
Is there a "go-to" head unit where one can plug in either an SDXC card or, alternatively for potentially faster processing, a USB3.1 port/stick, where viewing/browsing/selecting the dirs/files on the card or USB key is pretty fast, even for a library size of roughly 100k files and 750GB?
Any guidance you can provide would be hugely appreciated.

I have an almost three year old black cat, (I guess she’s a domestic shorthair?) who has dandruff from dry skin. It’s usually only during the cold months & I rub her down with about 1/4 teaspoon of organic coconut oil every other week during those months. It just seems like that hasn’t done her much good this year. I’ve been told that adding salmon or another kind of fish oil to her diet would help. Just looking for recommendations on the safest brand to use & any other methods that would be safe for her!

Have a carrier system. Blower short cycles, won’t come on at all sometimes. After resetting the power to the unit the blower motor seems to work just fine and then it’ll eventually stop working and short cycling. (Does this with ac and heat, started at end of summer, worked good for a but now is doing it again currently) Could this be a circuit board problem or is the blower bad? Thank you for your time and advice.

I am set on getting LEDs for my 2009 Matrix but I am aware of the flickering that can occur with the DRLs.
I don't want to seem stupid but this is my first car and just had a few questions 😅
Are my DRLs the high beams or the low beam? And if I can just opt for low beams will that prevent the flickering.
Once again sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm new to all this and am just trying to learn. I've made a few mods and changes to my car myself already but information I've found on the Headlights etc has always been a bit confusing.
