I've been to rehab 7 times (bout to be 8). I'm addicted to any substance I put in my body (right now alcohol and weed, previously meth). It's a horrible cycle. I go crazy on drugs for a couple of months, go to rehab, go to sober living, leave sober living, relapse, rinse and repeat. It's no way to live. The long process of relapse starts with doomscrolling once I get my phone back. Then porn. Then gluttony. I try to fight against them, but they end up getting worse and worse till I say "fuck it" and stop praying/going to church, get back involved in the demonic black metal music and subculture, and relapse. I'm the only person I know who vascillates between literal Satanism and Christianity according to whatever my mental health is in that era of my life.
Part of it too is that my mind needs constant stimulation. Whether it's treatment, AA, Church, or whatever I can't stand sitting there listening to the same shit over and over again. This is a problem I need to get over because it's actually going to kill me. I think community and friendship helps with that. I've been encouraged by friends and Father to just live at Church as much as possible, but unfortunately I become very schizoid when I'm using, and I mean that in the literal sense. I get very intense agoraphobia and anxiety about leaving the house, despite the fact I'm an outgoing, funny, confident salesman when I'm normal. To add to that, I don't have deodorant or clean clothes so I'm very embarrassed about sharing a car with someone from church and being around everyone there. Someone from church offered to give me some, but I refused, because I know that if I really wanted to, I could do some surveys online and buy deodorant but I choose to buy alcohol instead. So I wouldn't feel right taking charity from anyone.
Since my last post though, I have kept my arms firmly around the cross. Still drinking, but I've literally can't stop doing that unless I'm physically removed from it via rehab or jail (I've chosen homelessness over stopping if that can convey how powerful the compulsion is). However, I've been praying a lot more, making as much of a push as I can against sin. I have a court date for the eviction hearing in 2 weeks, but there are resources and free lawyers I can use. I am thinking of just taking the eviction on the chin and going to rehab, but if it can possibly be avoided, the responsible thing is to engage in the process.
As opposed to my last post, though, I have hope this time. I have a gameplan for after I leave rehab. I'm going to stay in a sober house for 2 or 3 months to save up one or two grand, and then find a job at a resort or park that offers housing somewhere kind of remote while I do online school. I was surprised at the amount of jobs like this that exist, and they really don't require a lot of qualifications. Just need to make sure that wherever I go has an Orthodox church within reasonable distance.

if a person is in a lot of pain and just really miserable for a long time, is there any way for him to end his own misery without being sentenced to hell? like if one prays a lot before doing it, reads a lot of quran, gives a lot of charity, could he be forgiven for simply trying to end his life?
or if one involves in risky behaviours that might get him killed, is that considered the same as suicide as it's not technically suicide.

I recently moved into this city with my mother as of 09/01/2024, so far we have plenty of voice recordings on our phones of screaming we hear from upstairs. Our landlord lives upstairs, says his mother owns the house but he takes care of tenants/rent payment. During our first month, weāve encountered demonic screaming like an old woman from upstairs (landlords place), we hear āf*** youā ālet me goā āleave me aloneā āget out of hereā āget the fuck out of hereā etcā¦ and sometimes it mentions the landlords sons name, sometimes it doesnāt. We havenāt done or called the police at all since this place has laundry and is affordable for us and the screaming we got used to. When my mother messaged our landlord about it, he said it was his mother and heāll call the police to do a welfare check, never happened. Last week I heard a new name and this time the screaming wasnāt an old woman, it was a woman around my age (early 20ās), she was saying ālet me inā āplease let me inā āyouāre a d***head, please let me inā repeatedly. My girlfriend and I searched up on google who owns the house since usually itās public, the name matches up with the name of the landlords mother, except google also says she died 2013. It is google and it could be completely different, maybe nothing related. But now today I heard the girl again, the younger one, it sounded like there was physical fighting upstairs and there was yelling going on in the staircase as well. I didnāt want to check cause she sounded really threatening and they were clearly being violent. I heard a manās voice and she was talking to the landlords son. Then I heard her say something about āyouāre so stupid, canāt do anything right, not even with the kidsā. I was already concerned but I had no idea kids lived upstairs or if thatās what she meant, if there is kids I think itās dangerous due to the fighting and yelling we constantly hear every week. Weāve actually seen the landlords mother who technically is supposed to be the one in charge since they donāt work with an agent/realtor, just him. This city isnāt the best, but the landlords son and his friend who I see all the time clearly live upstairs and they have really expensive cars, theyāre always smoking, the woman once peed right outside the house which reeked for awhile. While it was still hot outside, they used their garage to smoke and they would close it while smoking and left something underneath so they can still get out. Iām not implying anything, Iām just stating everything Iāve seen and heard, unsure what I should or can do with this but ever since their yelling and fighting moved to the staircase itās been an issue for when I need to leave or enter since I feel in danger hearing how aggressive theyāre being and the threats coming out of the womanās mouth.

 | newby here, I searched the forum and found related questions but nothing to help me. I had successfully added gps stats to several videos (recorded on x4) via the iPhone app. I decided it would probably be easier to edit my videos and assemble a final clip from the computer so I got Studio 5.5 on my windows machine. I was originally surprised that the GPS dashboards I configured via the app on the phone didn't get saved to the camera in some way. No worries, I'll just do it again from Studio...except I can't find the stats button! I watched the video from the documentation and realized that I'm just lacking the button within the Media screen.
