Hi everyone I am a 22F I moved out of my mom’s house almost a year ago. When I lived there I suffered countless physical abuse and when I got older it turned into mental abuse. Before when I lived with my mom I would basically handle all her responsibilities + helping out with my little sister. Usually how it would go if I wanted to do anything for myself and I couldn’t watch my sister she would tell me she would change the locks or kick me out which in resulted in me complying. I’m currently a Nanny but soon to be Flight Attendant as I leave for training this weekend. My mom calls me here and there sometimes I answer sometimes I don’t. This time she was calling to ask if-she can come to my graduation which I didn’t mind and told her she can come. She went along the lines in asking why I didn’t go to college and I told her because she made it sound like it was a bad decision she would usually complain about the student loans , how my life would be like hers and etc and it scared me away from the idea. She completely lost it in a 40 min rant about how I lie and come up with all these stories to make her seem like a bad guy. The whole time I didn’t talk nor argue she said the most evil things like she wish she didn’t have me or that I’m a bitch etc (shows my growth cause I would have had a complete meltdown before). By the end of the call she threatened that I could never speak to my sister again and she will cut off my phone bill . Now one I’ve thought about blocking her and never talking to her again but my phone bill is with her and my credit is not in a good space and it’s a cheap plan with Xfinity mobile. And also my sister she’s only ten but she has a lot of my mom qualifies I try to stir her the right way but my mom has made a big impact on her. I ask my sister all the time if she’s ok there which she says she’s fine. Should I stop talking to her if I really wanna go no contact with my mom?
