Need some life advice on transitioning from broke college kids to fairly well off early 30's couple. My (30m) wife's (27f) old Kia is dying and since it snows where we live and its our only AWD vehicle to go anywhere in the winter it sucks not having something more dependable. I don't even like taking it to the ski resort 45 mins away from where we live because its died on us before. We are thinking about buying a newer (to us) SUV since having kids is on the horizon and it would be nice to have the space for road trips and camping with a dog in the meantime. My wife would drive this for the next ~20 years and ideally it would be our kids car when they can drive. We are thinking about splurging a bit and going with something a little higher end (lexus, gmc, newer toyota) since it'll also be our road trip vehicle and we want it to be comfortable and have all the features we want. Most of the SUV's we are looking at are in the 55k-70k range. Following the 20/4/10 rule from personalfinance it would fall well within our budget but it feels wrong to spend so much on a car. There are older lower mileage options in the 25-40k range but they lack the newer tech and safety features I'd want my wife to have when we do have kids.
I know this isn't a finance sub but I guess my main question is just at what point did ya'll stop buying older cheap cars and splurge a little bit and how did it effect your lifestyle? Did you regret spending more or not?

I've had this T30s for 3 days. It worked fine yesterday, and today won't connect to servers. I have tried to set up again... connects to bluetooth, connects to network, then.... nothing. The "connecting" icon just spins, displaying the name I assigned.
There has been no power outage, nor internet interruption.

Hi everyone! I've been using the matrix treadmill at my location to train myself for running. Presently I have it consistently set at 3 incline and the run at 4.5mph for ~7 minutes (which, maybe more of a jog but I'm working on it lol). I noticed that maybe 2-3 minutes into these runs, my right ankle starts to KILL me. Has anyone else experienced this before or have any ideas on how to fix it? Is it just something that I need to train my ankle and legs to get used to?

So I'm still kind of new to starsector but I find that a strike team that works really well on my flanks is an omen, tempest, and wayfarer.
With omen prioritizing pd and defence to cover the team;
A tempest applying the offensive pressure and damage;
And the wayfarer filling in the gaps for offensive and defensive roles when someone pulls out to dissipate Flux.
This trio has worked really well for me and has even been able to take on cruisers that have straggled behind their counterparts.
The thing is, with the mid game approaching. My wayfarers are beginning to struggle with keeping their heads above the water as larger and more powerful fleets enter the fold. I'm still not familiar with all the ships so I'm wondering if there's something thats essentially an upgrade from the wayfarer that maintains that delicate balance between offense and defence.
