Finally had my orientation and holy cow the indoctrination was real. Anti-Union rhetoric was through the roof. They had their information completely wrong on roles, dues and many other things that come with being apart of a union.
As a Union member myself; it was very awkward and disheartening to hear. After I identified myself in our roundtable “get to know each other” I immediately felt any Anti-Union comments were targeted at me.
The Homer Fund is identical to Union Dues and the dress code was insanely strict.

The following might be seen as ridiculous or foolish and I wouldn't even entertain the thought if it was another director.
At approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes into the film "The Exorcist", Father Karras visits the home of Chris and Regan MacNeil, you can clearly see the ceiling joists are a modern 20th century style and not the type that would be have used in a Colonial 18th century home.
However, the above mentioned scene, specifically the carpentry and woodworking seen in it, is very alien and should not exist anywhere in such a home. I physically went there and I didn't see anywhere 'A Stanley Kubrick Film'. Mind you I am not an expert in carpentry or architecture either, but it stood out to me immediately.
Considering W. Friedkin's previous works, I struggle to believe he would leave this in, if he was aware of how blatant it is.
Do you think it is worth trying to reach out to him just to maybe give a lil bit of advice? Is there even a way to actually do that?

2025.01.24 19:34 ThreeEmptyRooms I canceled my IUI
I had my check up ultrasound this morning to see how my follicles were growing. Good news and bad news. The good news is that I responded well to Letrozole and have 2 maturing follicles, one on each side. The bad news is... it doesn't matter because we are canceling this IUI cycle.
My husband received his genetic testing back and by the bad luck that seems to be surrounding us, he and I are a match for 1. We are both recessive carriers for Biotinidase Deficiency. He and I both carry the very mild form, however there is still a chance our child/children could have this Deficiency. The doctor said because we both carry the very mild recessive gene, there's a chance that even if our child(ren) had this Deficiency, it may not affect them at all.
We canceled the IUI to do Genetic Counseling where a professional geneticist will look more into our results and tell us the liklihood of this being an issue. It could be anywhere from a 25% chance to 1 in 25. If it's very likely, our only option would be IVF.
Always 1 step forward and 2 steps backwards.

Missile rework required…
So, missiles have had their costs increased significantly. I really don’t get why. They just not worth using at all. For example, thunderbolt 3 missile does 3726 damage per missile. It takes a few seconds to lock, and another 5-10 seconds to hit depending on distance/ enemy speed etc. Assuming it doesn’t miss due to countermeasures/shot down etc, it costs 7875 credits to replace. Let’s say it takes 10 seconds to hit, that’s 372.6 dps. A single size 3 attrition does 787.5 dps. And doesn’t cost a thing to replace? Makes no sense.
Multiplayer changes….
More specifically, rep required for mission sharing…. I can’t always play at the same time as my mates, so our rep with certain factions are all over the place to the point we can’t share missions when we can play together.
How about change it to levels with each faction…. So If your level 1, you only earn the level 1 amount of rep and credits per mission, but I can share a top level mission I’ve unlocked to play with my mates instead of all of us just doing our own thing whenever we can play together.

The website he shared looked like a hollow shell with no real substance, just the kind of thing scammers use to bait unsuspecting victims.
What made me even more suspicious was the text he sent. It sounded like a copy-pasted pitch straight out of a multi-level marketing (MLM) playbook. To make matters worse, he showed me a picture of the person he’d been chatting with on the platform—someone whose profile screamed "AI-generated" or "scam."
When I called him to voice my concerns, he became defensive and frustrated. He couldn’t understand why I was so hesitant to invest in what he called a "sure thing." He assured me that he was making trades through his Charles Schwab account and that this new platform didn’t have access to his funds. He even mentioned that he recently lost $58 on a trade, and the firm promised to reimburse him with Bitcoin.

This game is becoming more and more pay to win and that just drains the fun out of the game.
First of all, Niantic putting random ass Pokémon like Shroodle and Salandit in 12 km eggs which most players cannot even get because their inventories are full of crappy 7 and 5 km eggs. And speaking of eggs I am fucking tired of hatching endless Pancham and Alolan Voltorb.
Then they make Skidoo and Mudbray, in person event exclusives for some reason as if they think that everyone is Mystic7 and can attend.
Events are becoming hella repetitive and bring NOTHING new to the game rendering them pointless.
And for fucks sake Niantic, think of people who live in places where nobody but them is playing the game for once! Not everyone has a local community to get Gigantamax mons and Dynamax Legenaries! Add alternative ways of getting them. And also the party feature sucks. Add the option to add NPCs to your party if you don’t have anyone you could add.
Why has the coin bag not gotten the mystery box treatment yet? Are players who don’t have a switch and Scarlet/Violet supposed to never get Gimmighoul and Gholdengo or something?
And stop cycling through the same legendaries over and over again! There’s so many unreleased ones so release those instead!
Anyways I used 2 magnetic lures and got just 3 or 4 rookidee from them. At this point it feels like the game is designed to NOT give you the new pokemon undless you spend a load of money.
I don’t know if anyone else feels the same way but I just had to get some things out.

I had an idea for the game that probably only I'd like, but I want it so badly. Basically, I use multiple Switch profiles for different characters and OCs, yet I never see them outside of their house, or even INSIDE their house for that matter. So I had the idea that the other humans could wander around the town sometimes to make the town feel more alive and feel like they're actually THERE. They’ll have no dialogue though, and if you talk to them they’ll simply wave. (This is an important part, because I couldn't imagine player avatars having dialogue in this situation.) For example, when I play as File 1 I want to see the character from File 2 around the town sometimes. The fact that this doesn't happen actually breaks my immersion a bit honestly, haha... Also, I know this would never happen because it won't be on-brand for Animal Crossing, but my dream game is like Animal Crossing except you can also interact with characters you create yourself. So I guess like a cross between AC and Tomodachi Life.
